Restaurant: Clean, friendly staff, intimate, and cozy. Food: Best pizza I have had in the IE. They do not skimp on the cheese or toppings. Crust is crispy on the bottom but soft and chewy at the same time. We tried the Roland's special and absolutely loved it. Hubby got a pitcher of beer to go with it. Overall: Very much enjoyed it, a little pricey ($30 for a lrg pizza) but it was very tasty.

Good service and excellent food! My new favorite Italian in Rancho Cucamonga. We had pizza, salad and ravioli and all tasted very fresh and home made. Sauces have good flavor, pasta tasted non frozen, pizza and toppings were very good. Even the breadsticks were great. Highly recommended.

The outdoor seating is nice, but a little tight. Tight as in we can hear the 2 guys flirting hard behind us with 2 girls for our whole meal. We started with the Pepperoncini Bites which were unique and delicious. My girlfriend ordered a Chicken Caeser Salad. She was pleased with the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, hand made croutons, and the creamy texture of the dressing. I ordered the Cavatelli pasta which came with a side salad. I was also pleased with the fresh mozzarella in the salad. The Cavatelli was egg pasta and generous portions of scallops and shrimp in white wine sauce. It was also top quality. The food combined with the service of our waiter Garvey made for a good dining experience.

The taste of the pizza reminds me of pizza hut. Very greasy and the sauce needed more flavor. Once we were seated we waited a good 20 minutes before the waitress even took our drink order. I wont be coming here again.

By far the best pizza you will EVER have. The spaghetti and meatballs are yummy and the lasagna is aewsome. The service is great!!

This is a great Ma and Pa style place in the heart of Rancho Cucamonga, which is something of a rarity. The Rolands pizza is our favorite. The portions are huge and a must share. The service could be better, but the food is what keeps us coming back. Tv's at the bar is a nice touch, but does not give you the feel of a sports bar. Dine or Dash? I will Dine and Take Out....

Came across this gem, because we were in the neighborhood. They had a decent lunch menu and prices. My daughter got the pepperoni pizza, really good. I had the Italian sandwich which was toasty and delicious. Service was great, establishment was clean. I can't give a 5 star because I wasn't "wowed". By the food or service. But it wasn't terrible, I would go back if I was in the neighborhood again.

The pizza is amazing! The only thing is that their service is a bit slow sometimes.. One of the best pizza places in the IE

It really makes me laugh when people give 1 star because they were not told sorry enough, or inconvenienced. Really? 1 star for that? Just because your booty was not kissed enough...that deserves 1 star? How about giving a review on the food? Well, can't do that because its DELICOUS and it would turn into a 5 star review. Whew, I'm done with that. This place has become our local hangout....but we have moved.......but we still drive here. You can't beat the pitcher of beer. Where can you find a pitcher of import beer for $10.00 (domestic $9.00)....all week! Plus, Monday is $5.00 off Lg or XL pizza in addition to free sodas, Tuesday is buy one pasta entree, get one the free....Wednesday is all you can eat spaghetti with breadsticks for $6.00.....Thursday is Large Pizza, 7 Hot Wings and a large salad for $28.99. WJAT A DEAL!! The staff is great. They are busy most of the time, but I don't think I will starve by the time we get our food. Honestly, we don't come here enough. JUST THE BEER PRICES MAKE ME DRIVE HERE!

Monaco's is one of my new favorite places to eat when I'm visiting my parents in California. It might be the best value for lunch out of any place in recent memory. Their special is around $8 and you get an entree (pasta, sandwich, personal pizza) a salad and a drink. The portions will surprise you at this price, so you will definitely leave feeling full and satisfied. I highly recommend the pepperoni pizza. Monaco's take on this classic is delicious, and one of the best pizzas I've had in the rancho area. The Italian sandwich is quite good, but I'd recommend ordering it without mustard. It isn't bad if you're really into mustard, but I'm just not used to having it on an Italian sandwich.. Really changed the whole vibe I was hoping for. The salad that comes with lunch isn't bad, but not the sort of thing I'd come back for on its own. I actually just got married last week and I had Monaco's cater the rehearsal dinner. It was my first time trying their pasta. The baked ziti with meat sauce and chicken fettuccine were awesome and the breadsticks were nice and fluffy. Everyone enjoyed their meal and kept asking me where I got the food from, so I guess you could say it was a big hit. You can't go wrong with a quick lunch from Monacos at a reasonable price. Try it soon!

Food is pretty good. Prices are moderate. Nearly every delivery order is screwed up. Out of items ordered Frequently with no notification, wrong items. Good luck with that.

Very disappointed. My husbands bread was burnt on his sandwich, my daughters spagetti noodles were cold and my lasagna was three layers of noodles topped on top of eachother with nothing in between covered in cheese and sauce that was cold. Waitress forgot my breadstik which seemed to be a store bought frozen breadstik, when it finally came. Never offered refills on our drinks. On top of hr and half wait we had for crappy food. It didnt even have any flavor. We werent the only ones complaining either. 3 other tables complained and had food sent back. We will never go back and dont recommend this place

Wow. If ZERO was an option, that's exactly what this place would get from me. My husband drove there tonight after ordering a simple pepperoni pizza by phone. He arrived at the specified time only to have the employees behind the counter determine our simple pepperoni pizza had disappeared, most likely taken away by a delivery driver. It was a "shrug your shoulders" moment for the employees. NO APOLOGY was offered, nothing. They just said they could remake the pizza. YAY! And WAIT EVEN LONGER ?!?!?!?!?! For some reason, my husband went ahead and let them make a new pizza and even ordered and paid for a salad on top of that. Still, NO APOLOGY, no discount, NOTHING. NOTHING. It is now about 1 hour later and the delivery driver just dropped off our pizza. We will NEVER do business with this place AGAIN. NEVER. Its not even the best pizza in the area. Sal's Pizza in Alta Loma or Petrilli's Pizza in Upland are both a thousand times better and will continue to get our business. In the amount of time we have waited, my husband could have driven to Sal's from Etiwanda and back and it would have been faster. VERY unhappy and HUNGRY former customers of Monaco's. RIDICULOUS. Teach your employees that it pays to apologize!

So disappointed! Service was extremely slow. Pizza was great but the rest of our dinner choices took 10 more minutes and either cold or over cooked! This place is either really good or really bad! We had a party of 6 and 2 kids under 4! Small Pizza, 4 dinners-2 chicken parm, (cold) 2 spaghetti w/ sausage (burnt) . Maybe if they had more then 2 servers things would be better!

Food was really tasty great location and decoration in the restaurant. Great place to get a bite to eat that is not as busy Victoria gardens right down the street.

  • Gary S.

My wife and I went Friday. The service was terrible and the food is just so-so. For $17 I got 1 bread stick a salad which consisted of lettuce 2 halved cherry tomatoes some small black olive slice and bland cheese, and a main course of 5 chicken ravioli in a flavorless marinara sauce. My wife had the Alfredo with chicken for &19. Over. Cooked paste with a few bits of chicken.

Probably the best pizza restaurant OVERALL in Rancho. The entire package this place offers makes this place my go to spot in Rancho. When I want to sit down, and enjoy some great pizza, wings, beer, and a great atmosphere I come here. So onto the review. Pizza: The pizza is amazing!! Not the best I've ever had but damn good!! Quality cheese and they apply a generous amount. At first bite, you can taste the quality and you think to yourself,, ahhhh now there some good ass pizza. Also, they don't hold back on the ingredients either. I had pepperoni and jalapeños. And you know you're eating quality pepperoni when it's rounds up on the edges!! The crust was slightly bland but had good consistency. Solid pie! The restaurant: clean, modern, and new-looking. Not your standard mom and pop shop pizza joint. Some of those are charming and classic but this place is nothing like that. Has a Bjs meets Boston's type feel, just smaller. Cool joint. My only complaint is, on slower days, they'll have the bartender serving the entire floor alone, including the bar. This slows down the service time dramatically and it sucks. Besides that. This is a solid place.

Amazing Italian food. This is our normal Friday night spot. Happy hour from 3-6 which includes drinks and appetizers. We normally get the mozzarella sticks which are delicious. Pizza is to die for!

Finally went today! Wow very nice place. Everyone is very friendly! Happy Hour everyday from 3-6pm, 1/2 off appetizers and drinks woohoo! ;) Definitely going back soon! My fiancé and I had a mini pizza and wings, both were delicious! Lots of selections for dessert, too bad I was too full :-/ Garvis was our server, very nice guy ask for him! :)

We were recommended this restaurant, however upon our first visit we waited more than 5 minutes before anyone came to seat us, then another long wait for a server, who finally came over, announced that someone else would be serving us. Waited again to order, then waited about 40 minutes to be served. We thought maybe this was a single incident so we tried again. More of the same, waiting to be seated, then waiting for the basics, silverware, menu. Finally same waiter as before shows up, we order drinks, only half show up, so we have to re-order. We finally give the waiter the order which takes along time, they bring the order out, serving several in the party of 6 and finally the other order, only the waiter forgot to turn in the order for a simple turkey sandwich, which he says "it will be 10 minutes do you still want it" The food is good but average, the service is terrible. Having given this restaurant a 2nd chance I will not go back.

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews on here because I've never been disappointed by the food or service here. My boyfriend and I are regulars and are huge fans of all their homemade soups - my favorite being the italian wedding. Their jalapeno ravioli appetizer is delicious! During happy hour, house wines are $2 a glass...and they fill them up to the top! With great food and awesome happy hour, it's hard NOT to keep coming back. Another plus? They always have sports games on, so I can eat good food and watch my games.

  • Jason W.

This is my wifee and I, not so secret place. Anthony there is excellent; he treats you like family. The rest of the staff is good. The food is AWESOME, and the portions are generous. It's a jewel in a restaurant saturated area of very good restaurants.

My wife and I really like Monaco's. The pizza is awesome, but all the food selections have been great. I actually think their wings have gotten better over time. We have been coming here a lot more frequently lately as they have a pretty awesome Happy Hour deal. I think it would be awesome if they would combine the wine happy hour and the beer happy hour into one. Then it would be fantastic. For a long time, we had stopped coming here because the service was always hit and miss. Sometimes, it would be good... and sometimes, we would ask ourselves, "Why do we even come here?". It wasn't just us either, because friends of ours who live just up the street would say the same thing. They told us once, "That's why we only get take out from Monaco's... the food is great, but the service is terrible." I will say that I think the service has improved over time as well. But is still shaky here and there. Lately, when we go in, we have gotten a server by the name of Joey; he's awesome. He has a great attitude, is very helpful and attentive, and is always accommodating. I'm giving Monaco's 4 stars because I think overall, it's a great place. The restaurant itself is always clean inside, the food is always on point, and I wouldn't hesitate to introduce someone to the food. I think their service is trending in the right direction, and so I'll bump them a star for that. I think with CONSISTENT service, Monaco's could be a top notch place and would be incredibly successful.

Okay, we didn't get any pizza, so I can't vouch for it. However, we waited over 5 minutes after being seats before we were even acknowledged. In fact, our server walked past us twice. Didn't even say a word. He's was kind of flaky. Didn't offer to refill drinks, and didn't seem thrilled to be working on a Sunday night. I got some NEW egg pasta dish with scallops and shrimp. It was fine tasting, but nothing to brag about. Did go during happy hour so Stella was cheap. That alone would Send me back again, but the food wasn't anything to brag about. maggianos way, Way better. This was like a Spaghetti factory dish and well... I don't like that place. Gag! So if you looking for fine Italian.... It wouldn't go here. You'll be disappointed. If your looking for cheap drinks for happy hour. This place works!

  • Patrick S.

Good food... but service is extremely terrible! I've been there many times and not once have I got adequate service... They always seem to be understaffed... one waiter for the entire restaurant who is "overwhelmed" and he usually gets everyone's orders confused... we had to ask for plates, silverware, napkins, multiple times and literally had to go in the kitchen and beg for something to drink... They finally brought us some water that tasted like it was straight from their toilet. Today was the last straw, talk about being humiliated... we got our food late and then the waiter came by and said he had to collect everybody's plates and cups because they were closing... "what the...?" We all still had food in our mouths... literally! I thought that was very, very rude, embarrassing and unprofessional! Do they give a hoot? I really don't think so... pretty sad!

I really like their pizza I always order from there the pizza is wonderful I recommend this place for pizza and all their food. Everything is amazing,. For those people who can't wait for good food then they need to go to a drive through place

We really like Monaco's. Its our Italian go to in Rancho Cucamonga. The building is small, so it can get crowded, we haven't waited longer than about 15 minutes though. They do have pizza, but a full Italian menu as well. I have tried many things, all have been good. Standard Italian fare! Servers are nice, you can see the kitchen and large pizza oven. They do deliver as well and its about the same price as Dominos so I would suggest going with Monaco's!

This is a neighborhood Italian restaurant close to my house. We have gone there a number of times over the past nine years. Lately however they have been dropping the ball. I wanted to order the chicken Parmesan but substitute angel hair pasta for spaghetti. Our waiter, who is in a hurry running around, (even though the place was half empty) said that couldn't be done, And he didn't bother to check with the kitchen. So I ordered angel hair pasta Alfredo and asked them to add chicken. They added tiny cubes of tasteless chicken. The Alfredo sauce was very bland. The waiter raced away not offering grated cheese. When he brought my Salad earlier he failed to bring us silverware so I waited sever minutes to flag down another waiter to get a setup. Also he took off so quickly I couldn't ask him for a tablespoon to help beat the angel hair pasta. Again, eventually ask another waiter to bring me a tablespoon. Also the menu said the salad came with breadsticks or garlic bread I can't remember which but that never came. I think I'm going to have to move on. The prices they charge are for super high-quality Italian food. Quite frankly I get much better service and better tasting food at spaghetti factory with prices almost half of what Monica's charges. It is a shame about Monicas because they make a gluten-free pizza, but even that is not as good as it used to be.

  • Anny V.

This is definitely our favorite pizza place! Their antipasto salad is delicious & we always order a large pizza which is plenty for 5 of us. We especially love their Canadian bacon & pineapple pizza as well as their pepperoni & mushroom pizza. Their service is good and the restaurant is clean and beautiful. Why 4 stars? The price! Cost for a large pizza & salad is about $38. But we'll keep coming... The pizza is delicious!

  • Itzel P.

Two stars because their meatballs are good. I'll never come back to this place. When we got there I was "greet" by the hostess and she look pissed and Fiscally in pain, like she was bother to be there. One can obviously see she was not happy to be working. Took around 7 minutes to be acknowledge at the table and be asked for our drinks. And when we finally got our food not even once we were asked how our food was. The waiter was no were to be seen and when I got up to go to the restroom I saw all off the waiters talking and having a good time at kitchen. The food is good but unfortunately their customer service sucks.

I will never come back to this place.. The way they treated my friend & I today is just appalling! First, when she called to make a to-go order, the gentleman that answered the phone acted annoyed w/ her questions, even though she informed him that it was our 1st time ordering from this restaurant.. When she asked for blackened chicken on her pasta, she was told that they don't have that & that they cook their chicken & then re-heat it - ummm? I don't think you should tell your customers this even if that is what you do! When the food was picked up, they forgot the personal pizza, so when we got home, we called to let them know that we were going to have to drive the 20min back to pick it up & asked if they could re-make our pasta once there & we would just eat at the restaurant now.. Obviously in 40min to & fro our food would be cold. The lady over the phone agreed. Wen we got back to the restaurant, the manager who wreaked of cigarettes came to our table & informed us that she would NOT be remaking our pasta & then proceeded to blame us (the customer!) for leaving the pizza here.. Ummmm, excuse me? She was completely rude! & since when do you blame your customers? Long story short, instead of treating us kindly & letting us eat a hot meal at the restaurant, w/ a glass of wine, which would have increased our bill, she opted to refund our $52 rather than re-make our food.. Absurd, right? Such a waste of a drive (with hopes of enjoying our experience once there). Her loss! Bc I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

  • Dolly M.

The service here is pretty good. I loved your food. Although it seems to be freezing cold inside, I will definitely be coming back for more. Hopefully with the summer heat it will feel more appropriate.

  • Anna Marie G.

Very disappointed, what Italian restaurant has "Caprese Salad" on the menu and runs out of mozzarella cheese? The waiters, waitress are ok, I think they spend to much time talking to friends or family that come into the restaurant......a little less talking & quicker "delivery of drinks & food" would be better. Unfortunately specials aren't shared until after the bill comes....I guess that's one way of getting your $$ but not the way to keep $$ coming on a constant basis. It's really to bad, cause it's a nice place, in a nice area, but I guess next time i'll settle on Wings & Rings or Sushi next door.

  • Laura K.

Slow service. Rude, inattentive staff. Disgusting bathrooms. Mediocre over priced food.

    (2)
  • Jocelyn V.

I really love this place!! The food is so delicious! The cheese they use in pizza is amazing. I love the Italian Stallion pizza, my favorite. Also try the wings, amazing. Rolands fries are tasty because the fries have mozzarella chhese with finely diced jalapeños. Yummmyyyy! Service is good, and they have a full bar. You gotta try it!

    (5)
  • Melanie M.

My favorite is the cold cut sandwich. I have ordered online twice and had it delivered to me. Veggie pizza is our favorite and my kids love the spaghetti.

  • Tiffany D.

This was my first experience at this establishment and the service was not impressive. The hostess/server was the only one on the floor and was completely rude. I understand you are stressed, but the lack of assistance for you is not the customers fault; it's poor management. We asked if they could manage our food within an hour as we were on a lunch break. The first waitress said no problem so we decided to stay. So our party (6 people) do her a favor and get our menus and seat ourselves. Another server took our orders. One friend asked to have separate checks and the lady responded "absolutely not!" With attitude. It was beyond rude. Before we even order our drinks we were pushed aside by two separate waitresses. We got our drinks and our salads. The waitresses never asked to give us refills nor did they stay around long enough for us to ask. We got our food with five minutes to spare. We literally took our food off our plates and into to-go containers. Did I mention we had to get those ourselves? I would have give zero stars if possible but the food was much better than the service.

Love this place, we go here all the time. Not crowded, kids love the pizza, I love the wheat pasta with pesto (add chicken), and the wife loves the pasta.

I love ordering pizza from Monaco's!!! The pizza is delicious and I usually also order the antipasto with the Italian dressing. Everyone there is really friendly an courteous and you can order for pick up or delivery. Great place!!!!

    (5)
  • Lauren K.

Don't think we're going back to Monaco's anytime soon. Took 5 minutes for me to get the closest waiter's attention to ask if there was a hostess. He looks at me and says "yeah, it's about a 10 minute wait right now. with at least 5 open tables. Hostess walks up , says nothing, seats the couple in front of us and comes back and picks up the phone. If you want to keep customer's the first impression when they walk in should be a good one.

    (1)
  • CRAIG J.

I had high expectations when visiting this restaurant today. However the pizza was quite bland and lacked cheese. It also took 30 minutes for a mini pizza in a nearly empty restaurant. The steak fries were not bad but without ketchup they were also bland. This place should higher a cook that is less afraid of salt and more generous with the cheese. Especially for a twenty dollar pizza. Also the customer service could be better. The staff is quite friendly but not very attentive to the needs of their customers.

    (2)
  • John T.

Always good for a Friday night but get there early. It can be crowded but it's worth the wait!

This place is nasty as heck and the owner is rude . I don't recommend anyone go here because you will regret it for sure . The time I ate here I found a hair in my pasta and the owner didn't want to do anything about it at all . She didn't even want to refund my meal or replace the pasta ..so I left and now Im writing this review never again am I coming here ..I wish that 0 stars was an option

    (1)
  • Joaquin R.

I generally don't write reviews but I had to this time. My girlfriend and I went there for dinner. We were seated by the bar, within a couple minutes we started seeing gnats flying around. We ordered our food but the gnats were getting worse. We asked to be moved and they did but the next spot was just as bad. They comped us a free desert but that wasn't enough. The food is good but they have a bad gnat problem in the restaurant.

  • Candy P.

I had lunch here with my parents today. My mom and I took advantage of their lunch specials which include an entrée, a salad and a drink. Plenty of food. I ordered the Italian sandwich and my mom ordered the Stromboli. My dad ordered the pastrami sandwich. The food was great! The bread on our sandwiches was perfectly toasted and the sandwiches had plenty of meat. No skimping here. My mom's new favorite dish -Stromboli! She is such a creature of habit she wanted to get spaghetti. But with a little encouragement she decided to step outside of her comfort zone and now has a new favorite. Our waiter was extremely attentive and very helpful. Great service. We sat outside in the patio and enjoyed the wonderful weather. This is a great neighborhood restaurant. Keep up the good work!

  • Marlena C.

We have eaten here over the years since they have opened. It was just ok then. Boy over the past couple years the quality of food has gone to the dogs, (poor dogs) well a couple weeks ago we thought one more try. Ordered a xlg pizza, simple u think? OMG they jacked up the order and it came (delivered) dry, over cooked, and our toppings were screwed up. Well they gave us a credit. Well tonight we used the credit. Just as bad. Never ordering there again. Little Caesars is better. Plus their over priced! Italian my ass!!

    (1)
  • D R.

Pretty good! Been there about three times now and I enjoy it. Nice place inside and there's a separate, quick entrance for "to-go" orders like pizza and stuff. Good Italian flavor!

    (4)
  • Chausa Mia C.

The only reason why I am give this place 5 starts is for the food. Anytime I come here I can always count on a great meal. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait because its very popular which is a good thing! My only issue with this place is the hostess's..every time we come here they look like there all of 16 or 17 yrs old with major attitudes and never know how to properly seat people. Otherwise food is great and waitresses/waiters are very friendly and fast.

    (5)
  • Christina O.

This place is amazing. I've been here twice already and both times were great. Service was fast, despite it being a busy weekend. I highly recommend going here and if you do, make sure to order the Jalepeno Ravioli for an appetizer!

  • Laquitta L.

Stopped in for lunch with the hubby today and the food was amazing. We had lasagna and the Roland special pizza both were suggestions from Kyle or server. The lasagna is so delish..cheesy with layer after layer of homemade noodles. Just wish I was home in my pj's so that I could pass out from enjoyment. .so delish. My husband's pizza was one of the best we have had on the west coast. Kyle was super attentive and took time to get to know us. Wonderful place and we will be back.

I called at 8:45 pm tonight and they said no wait for a table... I have friends in town from Reno Nevada and they were excited to try the best pizza in town. When we got there they said they will only take to go orders at 9:05- 9:10 pm When we arrived. They said the owner said to go only but I asked to speak to him and they said he was stuck on the phone. Totally can't believe the best pizza place in town would treat their customers so poorly.

Great local Italian joint! We love coming here with the kids. My 4 star is based on the slower service.

Best pizza I have found in Rancho Cucamonga. You'll pay a little more, but worth it. Not Papa Johns or Pizza Hut.

Dog friendly, need I say more? Susage spaghetti is the best.

It's our "go to" place when we want pizza! You have to try their salad with vinaigrette, delicious! I love it here. The food is amazing. The drinks are amazing. The people are hard working and friendly. I love mom and pop businesses. Try it, and you won't be disappointed.

Service was r e a l l y S L O W........ I was going to post a one star review, but after I read some reviews here, I realized we were lucky that we just waited for 5 minutes to be seated, 10 minutes to get water and 25 minutes to get our one and only order of pizza. The restaurant wasn't even crowded, and when I asked how much longer do we have to wait because it had been 45 minutes, the server argued that it had only been 20 minutes since the order was put in without apologizing or anything. But in reality, it had been over 45 minutes since we walked in the restaurant. The pizza was pricy, $25 for a medium and I didn't taste any special. I saw from the parking lot that the servers were playing around in the kitchen when we left, so this might explain the wait.

The food here is fantastic. I had calamari to start-tender and cooked through. Sauce was great. Then had cannelloni- do much going on here. Pasta is ls denote, sauce is great, veal cooked perfectly, crispy cheese. Caesar salad left a little to be desired. I come back for a reason, and it isn't the view. Service is usually tolerable, but was very good tonight.

Our regular stop for delicious pizza. It is always fresh with the finest ingredients. It does take a little longer to get your food because everything is fresh. Try the Rolands special or the Italian style, you will not be disappointed. Nice outside patio and the inside is always clean.

I've been going there since it opened. In the beginning the service was horrible. Hostess and servers had no clue. But the food was good. After a couple of years the food is still good but a little pricey. The service is still hit or miss. We started to do take-out there and that is not much better. We order over the phone and went to go pick up and the order was never processed. So we had to wait 20-25 minutes for it without any type of compensation for the inconvenience. And this happened several times. The owner Roland has no clue on how to run a restaurant !

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have now been at Monaco's for 2 hours, and we just got our pizza. We waited 1/2 hour to be seated even though there were at least 6 tables open. The girl at the front took our name, then kept leaving and coming back to ask if we'd been helped. I guess she didn't recognize us? No one was seated in the 1/2 hour we waited. Once seated, we ordered immediately and then waited over an hour for our pizza. My meatball sandwich came out after about 15 minutes, then nothing on the pizza. People around us who had been seated after us got their pizza, but not us. When I asked why that would happen, nobody knew why. I have never experienced worse service. As much as I like their food, I won't be back.

I used to come here a lot and they had some of the best tasting pizza. Recently though, my family and I ordered a medium Roland's special pizza to go. When we picked it up and brought it back home, we couldn't help but notice how soggy the pizza was from underneath. The texture was spongey and hard to eat. I'm not sure what happened but it's most likely that we won't be ordering pizza from them again.

This place never fails..lunch special is the best $7.95 I've spent in a while ..well actually $10 once I factor in beers ... The pizza is always on point, kinda reminds me of Ninja Turtle pizza...cheese city!

This is a great place to find a seat on a Friday night. Not too packed, and very friendly staff. The garlic cheese bread was pretty good and you can't go wrong with a pizza. The calzone was not pleasant. Very watery inside, kind of gross, actually. Stuck with the pizza or pasta.

Lunch special is such a good deal! Awesome salad and the meatball sandwich, cold cut sandwich and mini pizza are excellent!!!! My other fav is pepperoni and jalapeño pizza!! Best pizza in Rancho!

My first and only experience at Monaco's was a few weeks ago on a Monday during lunch. Someone else complained about the cost of the lunch special. I do not know where else you could possibly get that much quality food for $7.50. McDonald's combos are almost that much these days. The iced tea was brewed fresh from tea leaves. The dinner salad was so large I could barely finish it. It had loads of cheese and olives. The sandwich was the size of two sandwiches in many establishments. I took most of it with me. The Calamari was excellent. It was tender and tasty. Our waiter was attentive. My iced tea glass was always at least half full and he never let the used plates pile up. He checked back often.

Best Pizza in the area. Have been getting pizza from here for years and also from Sals pizza (same family). I would say the pasta is just okay, but the pizza is 5 star!

I should of listened to my fellow yelpers. The surrounding was a family atmosphere, casual dress for the hot weather. The waiter/server was mediocre, friendly who vanished after our cold food order arrived. The penne with meat sauce and lasagna arrived cold. Felt like Bar/Restaurant Rescue when the owner would put the plate in the microwave and then serve the food. The plate was cold and the meal on the outside was cold and hot on the inside, the taste was bland Our server left never coming back, i was wearing a black dress shirt and a customer thought i worked at the restaurant! lol and waived me over. I asked for my check and 15 minutes still no receipt, i became nervous as there has been numerous fraudulent actions in certain establishments so i approached another server and asked for my credit card, she laughed and said "oh your server is cleaning and forgot " my curiosity of this restaurant has been satisfied, i will never go back as the price was expensive for cold food, cold service and bland taste.

In order to write my review I had to put one star if it was up to me I'd prefer not to put any star bad service to start off with server messed up all of my party's order I came in for lunch had the special took them FOREVER to bring our order out my order never came out when I had to leave I asked tHEM to box my order up and a slice was missing!!!!! I dont know how they are still in business! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

This place has gone from pretty good to awful in the last year. Three times in a row my order has been wrong, late, or completely forgotten by the staff. No apology was offered and the owner himself expressed no concern over the mistakes made. Monacos has lost one once loyal customer. Eat somewhere else!

I seriously can't believe this restaurant only has 3.5 stars...it should have a solid 5 in my book! Best pizza not only in the city but possibly in the entire Inland Empire. We normally just order pizza for the office but I've also eaten inside the restaurant at least 4 times and each time the food was great. If you're looking for the BEST pizza around or some very good Italian food, I highly recommend Monaco's Pizza!

Had a pepperoni pizza from here over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. We haven't tried any entrees but plan on returning. We think they lost our order, my husband had to wait 30 minutes once he arrived. The manager offered to buy him a beer. From the other yelp reviews, service seems to be a bit of a problem here. But...the pizza was good!

Went here for lunch and had the lunch special which included salad, pizza and a soda for $7.50! All was delicious and I would definitely come back again! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they charge $2 for a to-go cup lol. Never had that happen anywhere, oh well. Still great food!

This place is okay. I am always hearing about how great the pizza is. My husband and I have given this place two tries and both times our experience was the same. Pizza was soggy with too much sauce. It was doughy and not cooked all the way. The service is terrible. They never came to check up on us outside and didn't bring refills. I wouldn't go here again.

Just got here for spaghetti night. Supposedly all you can eat for $6.00 with choice of meat sauce marinara or olive oil. I chose olive oil. The waitress left and came back to notify me my olive oil was now double the price.. Wow $12 for pasta with oil and garlic. We have had repeated bad service and just moved to town . Probably won't be back. Last time it was 6 bucks. Oh well their loss...

Ordered three extra large pizzas last night food and service was excellent. The bill was $78 but I must say you get what you pay for their quality is so much better than what people are passing off this pizza today.

Great food here everyone....pizza, spaghetti, salad. You get these and you can't go wrong. The bruschetta wasn't my favorite. Also, if you get the spaghetti, do yourself a favor and get the meatballs. Service is great at times, not the best at others. Bottom line: great food, decent pricing.

Came here on a Saturday night and did not walk away disappointed. I ordered a pasta with sausage and peppers. This meal was fantastic. Pasta tasted homemade ( hopefully I'm right and they didn't serve Barilla) , the sauce was just rich enough, and the sausages were moist and hearty. The house salad was one of the better house salads you get in a restaurant. My on,y meal complaint was the breadsticks. They tasted like frozen stick of butter with the constancy of a sponge. But a sponge has more flavor The waiter was polite and helpful and definitely helped give a better dining experience. My only negatives is the restaurant smelled like Mr Clean himself tested all of his cleaning products on every inch and cranny. Too strong of a chemical smell throughout, the restroom is also tucked way out of the way. And last but not least, service time is slow. We would have liked our food sooner. And I'm patient when it comes to dining.

We come here frequently and have never left disappointed. Pizza- great, pasta great, sauces great, salads-great. Service- great. Good happy hour and dinner specials during the week. I recommend trying take out or you can even order online and have it delivered to your door for a $2 fee. Even when delivered the food is excellent. They don't cheat on the pizza toppings and all of the pastas come with lots of sauce which is good if you eat it the following day. Love this place. The owners frequently can be seen working in the kitchen or walking the floor.

Food, no question, is great stuff. They go a little crazy with sauce on the spaghetti though, but if you're into that thing than no worries. I've tried pizzas, salads, and some pasta dishes. We usually bring the kids. They're not crazy busy in the dining area usually, so service is generally good. The to-go lines can be insane. I've waited there for 10-15 minutes before. Few gripes are about the slow service the few times we've been in the take-out line. They have 5-6 workers making pizza and pasta dishes, but sometimes only one person on the phone not able to take money because they're busy with other orders. Uh, does anyone want my money? Also, there is no way a large pizza with one topping should be $20. It's the best in town, but give me a break with the price gouge. $15-$17 is just as reasonable. Another idea, how about a night where pizza is a special price for to-go orders? It is done for dine-in customers. Just ideas, I'm sure they won't put you out of business.

First off Monacos is our go to place. They have ruined all other pizza for me. It is so good. We normally order for delivery but once in awhile go there. Last week we went in and the food as always was amazing but had the best service as well. Garvey was our server that night. He is awesome! So if you want great food go to Monacos. Thank you Garvey for the awesome service hope you all read these reviews!!!! Next time I go I am so requesting you.

The service is terrible and the manager just makes up story after story on the phone. We ordered delivery about 10 days ago and got a very good cheesy pizza. We ordered last night and got a very cold pizza with large holes were there was only sauce and no cheese, delivered after about an hour. We ordered pasta dinners tonight at 640 pm and after awhile received an email that our food was out for delivery. 50 minutes after we received the email and at about 8 pm we called to check on the food. We expressed that our food last night was cold, and this order had been out for delivery for over 50 minutes now. The gentleman who answered the phone assured me that the food had only left 15 minutes ago because they had been busy preparing it and we were the next stop. At 815 we called back and were informed by a lady manager that we were too far away and they had cancelled the order . She just kept repeating that arrow route was too far, they only deliver to arrow highway. I told her several times that arrow rte is closer to them than arrow highway, but she insisted otherwise, in spite of incontrovertible google map facts. I mentioned we had received a delivery just last night, why had we received the email it was out for delivery , and why when we had called at 8 did they not mention it? Just abysmal service. Her answer for everything was too far, you are just too far, and they hadn't been busy the night before. So their delivery range changes on busy nights? Jeez. Why even allow online ordering if they don't even KNOW their own delivery zone? No dinner tonight after waiting hours. Hope they credit the credit card for the food we never got.

Wow! It's not even crowded, but the service is slow. I was about to just get up and leave when the hostess went and got my server. Once he came, he was courteous. Another pet peeve of mine is automatically bringing a glass of ice water. It's a drought and I don't like ice in my water, so I end up sending it back. Why not wait or ask if I'd like water? Twenty minutes later, still waiting...asked for check and food in to go box. Not sure I'll be back, unless the food is spectacular.

So my quest for a great Pizza continues. Good crust, fresh topping, but it needs a bit more sauce and the crust was a bit over cooked. This happens with a conveyer oven. A brick oven is best, but it takes a bit more training of the cook than most places are willing to put in. A conveyer puts out a consistent but just ok pizza. Service here was great and the pasta I had was fantastic although a little small in the portions for the price. Still one of the better places I have been to. If I don't find better, I will be back if only to try some of the other pasta's.

Visited Sun 3/15/14 2pm. Horrible disgusting service. Young blue eyed server should not be employed with the public. Didn't even ask if we wanted refills and never came back to even check on us. Service is always bad there but this was the last for me. Note to the owners; good service can save bad food but good food can never save bad service! Good luck!!

Just a great delivery pan pizza. Better option than any of the chains, cheaper than some of the others in the area. Had a Large pepperoni and sausage delivered to the office, we we're all impressed by the taste and quality. Would definitely order again!

When right meets foolish. I have not been back in over a year. Was going there probably once a week, if not more. Usually for pizza, then started enjoying the entrees. The owner made the most ridiculous error ever, maybe that is why there were so many empty tables there. One good waiter informed us that they had a special on a particular night, buy one get one free on entrees. We were unaware, but took advantage of the offer. So we went back a few weeks later. Had 6 people with us and we brought a bottle of wine. $10 corkage, no problem. We were going to need another bottle as well. When we ordered, the waitress said to get the offer, we had to buy a drink each. I said OK, we will order a bottle of wine. She brought a woman over who brought out the coupon, and said the coupon says you each need to buy a beverage. I said what if we buy two bottles of wine, she said that is not what it says in the offer, and you don't have to use that offer. I said we did not know it was a coupon, but this does not make sense. We could order 6 milks at $1.50 each, so 9 bucks and get the deal. We are already in $10 bucks on the corkage and they are not out any product. We were going to buy two bottles of their most expensive wine, $32 bucks, plus order 6 entree's(buy one get one) as well as appetizers. This would have easily been close to $150-200. We were dumbfounded by something really dumb. Turns out the lady was the Owner, she said it is not about the revenue, it is about the wording of the ad. Since when is running a bz not about revenue. And, we went home and looked at the coupon. It also said no coupon necessary, not valid without coupon. Maybe I will show up for their going out of business sale. We finished the wine we brought and left, no one else in that restaurant so maybe she wanted to be alone to read her ads. Not only did they lose our money that night, but we have not been back since.

BEWARE! I made an online order from this establishment and called to confirm that it went through. the employee told me it did NOT go through so I proceeded to make a take out order. the delivery came shortly after and and the delivery guy said it was "a gift" I then called to speak to the owner to try and understand the situationm. He then screamed at me because he said "I don't know why you people order online don't you want to speak to a real person" BLAMING ME! the owner refused to take the charge for the delivery off of our credit card. After 15 minutes of going back and forth he agreed to remove the charge. Two days later my account was still charged! 3 employees were involved in fraudulent charges. I Will NEVER eat from this restaurant again

Had a urge for good Italian food so me and my sis headed to Monacos. The last couple times we came the service was a bit slow . Wow, we were pleasantly surprised when our host Garvey also became our waiter. He was so friendly, upbeat and just plain nice. Drinks remained full , he brought extra napkins and it's the fastest service we have ever got :) The food never disappoints and tonight thanks to Garvey our service was awesome too. We'll be back

WOW!! What happen Rose M. (owner) to your customer service?!! I was there this past Saturday (03-09-13 - 8:30pm) with our usual party of 10 people for my niece's birthday and your restaurant was half full. Your staff could not accommodate us as usual by putting tables together in the dining area, the host told us we had to wait for the glassed in room by the bar. They told us 40 minutes because that room was occupied. 45 minutes later we ask why can't we put tables together in the dinning area like they always do for us, the host advised they couldn't and we'd had to wait for the glassed room. But at that moment the manager (50's, female, and with blond streaks, I don't know her name) came over and in a very rude and condescending manner repeated what the host had just said. We were all very taken back by her reaction to our request to be seated that half of our party was embarrassed and wanted to leave. But I convinced them to stay because the party that was there was already leaving and that it would be all worth it in the end. So the room is ready for us and as we are all walking into the room the manager with the blond streaks cuts us off and starts to tell us how they could NEVER accommodate a large party in the dining area by putting tables together. But her manner was even more rude and condescending than the first time, oh yes, and more loud too. So much that my mother and sister walked out of your restaurant embarrassed because not only did this manager catch our attention with her voice, but the attention of the rest of your customers that were looking in through the glass. I have experienced long waits before but they are usually met with a polite restaurant manager that fixes things. In this case your manager just wanted to prove a point and in a very unprofessional way that it frustrated my nephew and he told her to leave us alone in the same manner that she was treating us. In the end I told your manager of her rude manners and that her tone was out-of-line. She stormed out of the room and we had to leave your restaurant; a party of 10. Like I said, we are always a large party and your restaurant never had a problem placing us in the dining area, in fact, we've never been seated in that glassed room before. I don't know why this night we couldn't be treated as usual. Our why we were treated so rude. Italian restaurants are synonymous with large families or large parties. I don't know...

This place gets super busy so be forewarned you may have to wait. However, they acknowledge this aspect and do apologize. Every time I've come I get outstanding food. The gnocci is yummy, cheese bread is to die for, spaghetti and meatballs are delish and the pizza is FRESH AND ON POINT. I ordered a Roy Rogers drink and they made it perfectly. Try their lunch specials, its much cheaper and still decent size portions. The waiter even packed up our leftovers=extra brownie points. I am half Italian and this place is truly authentic, reminds me of the food my grandma cooked while I was growing up. The pizza dough is yummers, so fresh it puts the chain places to shame.

My husband and I have been here about three times for happy hour and once for dinner. Beer is reasonably priced and they have appetizers which are half off Monday thru Friday. We've ordered the hot wings which were ok, the raviolis which we really liked and the cheese sticks which are also ok. We also order pizza on a regular basis. This is the best pizza that we have found in the area. Toppings are fresh and they pile them on, the crust has a great flavor and they don't skimp on the cheese. So why 3 stars only? The service is HORRIBLE! Most of the servers and workers seem to be pretty young out of high school/college age which is totally ok, however please train these kids to be courteous and give customers good customer service. They bring out your food but don't give you silverware and sometimes not even plates. Good luck trying to find someone to get help you out and when they do finally come around they could careless that you've been waiting there while your food is getting cold. Service is slow. It takes a while to get your food even though we have been there when the place is not crowded. And calling in your order is even worse. They are just plain rude and when you ask questions they seemed annoyed and are not at all helpful. The delivery time is just as bad. One time we cancelled our order because it took the over an hour to deliver the pizza. We have to pick up our pizza every time we order now The only reason we keep coming here is because the pizza is really good but after the last time I called in my order, I'm not sure if I will be going back. Very bad service.

As a long time resident and a professional of this community. I am appalled with the lack of customer service that this ITAILIAN RESTAURANT DID NOT PROVIDE ME AND MY FAMILY.after my daughters class at the local karate school we decided to try this place . ok ready? walked in @6.10 pm my wife my two daughters 12,9 and for 20 grueling minutes i felt like i was in the 60,s being denied ,or ignored by the staff, not one time did anyone come to our table to offer a welcome ,a menu a glass of water or even a get the fuck out or anything.my wife keep staring at me from across the table very patiently. finally my youngest daughter said to me Dad these people don't want to serve us. so we quietly got up and walked out. AND MIGHT I ADD THERE WERE APPROX 5 TABLES OCCUPIED ALL BEING SERVED. 1ST TIME, LAST TIME

First time coming here and I was impressed. I really like the cozy yet upgraded on the inside nice environment. Our server was Awesome as she attended both the bar and tables. She was on point. My wife and I happened to accidentally go there during happy hour and we were impressed with the happy hour specials. $2 draft, $2.50 premium drafts, half off certain appetizers. We ordered a small personal pizza and I think it's good enough for two people. Great toppings!! We will definately go again when we don't feel like having wings from the spot right across the parking lot.

Being Italian, my family and I are a little picky when it comes to Italian cuisine. I have to say that Monaco's has to be the best Italian restaurant we've been to in the I. E. I think I should've read these comments before I let my guy order. One star for the overall customer service experience. But all was fine and dandy. We got the emails saying we placed the order, the order is on it's way... 45 minutes later? We're three miles away. Whatever, like any other delivery service, I'm sure they have hot bags/boxes to keep the food warm. Totally excited for the pizza and caprese salad! Pizza has cooled, salad is warm. Oh boy. We call the restaurant to speak to a manager. Speak to the manager and they place us on hold. Minutes later, "Hi, thank you for calling, how may I help you?" Umm we were talking to the manager. "I'm the manager. How can I help you?" Hellooooooooooo? We discuss that the pizza wasn't warm, why did it take so long, etc? Is it possible to have it remade or get a refund? Obviously, returning customers help keep a business open. But mind you, we are FIRST TIME customers. "I can't do anything about that." What manager doesn't have the power to do that? "You can talk to the owner." Ok, let's talk to the owner. We just want to get a remade pizza or refund, something, because it isnt' the quality you guarantee. The owner starts yelling about how the pizza is made, etc. We get it, don't yell, just please, resolve this issue. "GO CALL PIZZA HUT!" really? Thank you. We will.

I avoid chains at pretty much all costs so this is a local favorite near my house. Lasagna is my favorite thing on the menu and there's never a wait. Cute family owned vibe with a full bar. Pizza & salads are good.

Lunch specials are pricey but the food and service is consistently good. I understand some of the bad reviews but people now a days want perfect service food etc... Nothing less will do for them. I really do not understand how so many people could have such high standards these days. If you want to be waited on hand and foot than expect to pay the price. It benefits both parties to hear good and bad service, food, wait times etc. but to bash service and food is really just an opinion.... And like aholes.... Everyone has one!

I'm so confused by all the negative ratings for this place. It's really really good. Yes, the service can sometimes lack, but I avoid that by ordering for delivery. Anyway.. I can't believe that I haven't already written a review for Monacos. I don't know why I continue to try and find a local pizza joint with great food AND that delivers! I have found it here! I've been ordering from Monacos for at least 2 years. Friday nights are pizza/movie nights and we typically order the Xl pizza - sausage, pepperoni and bacon. 15 hot wings, extra crispy. At least 1 sandwich (chicken parm, Italian or eggplant). The food is very consistent. We've searched our area for a good pizza place and this is the best! Their pasta is very tasty as well. Most complain about the price. Yes, it's kind of expensive. BUT... The Xl pizza has like 18 pieces of pizza, it's HUGE! I'm feeding 2 pre-teens, 1 teen, 2 grown men and me. We can eat A LOT! And we ALWAYS have leftover pizza for breakfast. For our typical order it's about 55 bucks. Not bad considering I just paid 65 for 2 large pizzas and a salad at another pizza place up the street- why I went there, Monacos was PACKED on a Friday and we were starving!! All in all, we love this place and will continue to go back as long as its in business, which i hope is a long time..

The service here at monacos is always so friendly, I've been eating here off and on for the past 7 years. I'm always given great service by the wait staff. If you're looking for a great family restaurant, than monacos is the spot for you.

OK...here we go, I was very concerned after all the not so nice reviews about the service....give it a try I said and so I did. The food was as good as reviews said....the service I must say was 5 star!!!! Yes, I found the wait staff congenial, knowledgeable and very prompt!!!! Could not disagree more with the nay sayers. Like Arnold said...."I'll be back" and very soon I might add!

This review is for hostess service ONLY, not the food, as my husband and I never got the chance to taste it. We went in early in the evening on a Saturday and there was no wait for a table. The hostess asked us if we minded sitting at a high top, and I said yes I do mind because I'm short (under 5 ft) and generally my feet dangle at those type of tables, which causes me to loses circulation in my legs. I asked her how long of a wait it would be for a table (there was an clear empty one right behind her) and she just stuttered and looked around and pointed at a table and said "Well they look about to leave, but since there is only 2 of you I'm not supposed to sit you at a table like that, you have to wait for a 2 person table, you know, because we're really busy." So... you have all of these empty tables, no wait, and you won't seat us where we are comfortable? SERIOUSLY?! I told her it was fine to sit at the high top, and then we got there and they were RIGHT AGAINST the people at the bar. I could barely get in my seat. I was so irritated that my husband and I just decided to leave. This is the SECOND time we've left this establishment without ever trying their food because of the service. I thought we'd give it a second try this time, but we won't try again. We just drove to Carino's down the street and had great service and a wonderful meal. Sorry Monaco's, but we gave you a 2nd shot and you failed at that one too.

Hands down best pizza I've ever had. They also have a delicious lasagna and the anti-pasto salad is perfect! If you want a delicious pizza with every topping then go with the Roland special!

Its been awhile since i ate here but i want to let you know i had a great experience here. I shared a pizza with j the night of the academy awards. The restaurant is very pretty and modern. Our server, also the bartender was very nice. We split a pitcher and a pizza while watching the awards show. The nice italian couple who owns the restaurant came over and chatted with us for awhile which was nice. They even let us try their homemade italian wedding soup which is very good. And something i would definitely order in the future. Everything was reasonably priced and the pizza was delicious. The antipasto salad was good as well. Did not try the pasta but the reviews on yelp detered me from trying it because from what people say its not their strong suit. But having a mind of my own, and a very strong sense of what i like and dislike, i will probably give it a try in the future. A nice place to have a low key night and watch the oscars. Hmm. Maybe ill do it again next year.

So i will say me and my family were a fan of this place, its local and the food is good. however, my last visit there was horrible. i ordered chicken ravioli and when my food came, after eating ONE ravioli i found out there was spinach in it. i dont like spinach at all, so i told the waiter if i can get something else because the menu didnt say spinach was in it. i was told i could BUT i had to pay for my new meal as well. this shocked me one because many restaurants will gladly change your plate at no cost. i however refused to pay for something that wasnt my problem. if the menu said spinach then i would understand but the menu didnt say spinach. i ended up talking to the owner just to be treated rudely. as i was explaining the situations comments such as " not another one of theses tonight" and " what am i going to do with the chicken ravioli, i cant re-sell it" were said by him. i continue to tell him, the menu didnt say spinach, what if i was allergic. ect. he then said ok, i can get my cheese ravioli and then waved his hand at me to get away. i have never been disrespected from a owners stand point and not to mention me and my family are here literally every week leaving with at least a $100 bill. but thats not the end. i felt kinda bad for my waiter putting him in this position so i just said they can give me a side order of ravioli ($9) and when i got the bill i was being charged for the chicken ravioli and not the cheese ravioli. i didnt feel like confronting them again so i just paid. in the end i ended up paying 20 bucks for a 9 dollar meal (not including the tip). the food is good, but i will say im never going there again. the owner needs to take some business classes on how to run a business bc if he ever wants to get past his family restaurant and start branching out, hes going to have to learn a lot more then how italian food is made or he will see his business go down the drain. guaranteed! oh ps. did i mention the last visit before this one they werent goign to let us eat bc they decided they wanted to close an hour early. i made a comment about the actual time they close and then she let us sit down to eat.

I was invited to lunch here the other day. It's a very nice place with a good lunch menu. I had the lunch special with the personal size pepperoni pizza, salad, bread and a drink all for $8. The pizza was pretty good and the salad it came with a pretty good sized salad. The server was friendly and nice. I would totally come back here again. Maybe even try dinner.

i like to food the pizza is good but the service always sucks. The waitress there alsways just plain out sucks. Ask for refills take forever asked for an extra plate to share the anipasto salad. The waitress went talk to her friends whom were leaving so i asked the hostess to get a plate food came out promptly and all was good just wish they had some better service

My boyfriend lives over in rancho, so we decided to try one of the local places. We were craving italian that day, and Monaco's seemed perfect. The service was wonderful, the server helped us decide what to order since it was our first time there. We were very glad to have gone with her selection. We ordered the Italian Pizza, and it was seriously the BEST pizza we ever had. Everything was very fresh, the bread was good, and the toppings were great. I highly recommend this place

Very good food. I fancy myself an Italian food type a guy. The piZza was very good and sausage is also...good salad...environment is also quite classy and nice...full bar with sports, and interesting posters on the wall...you can even see the cooks cook! But all that can only go so far...I'm all about service, and this place had none...very rushed and non personal...the place is small and there were 3 or 4 waiters, they couldn't have been that busy! I have to agree with what some of the other people are saying, when it comes to the tye of waiter. Most of them look fresh outta highschool, if not still in it, or at least they act like it. Kinda ruined it for me :(

  • Leilani U.

Overpriced! I paid $15 for a small pizza, I had great expectations, what a disappointment! We dined in, the restaurant wasn't too busy, but we sat there for over an hour and waited. The restaurant was understaffed which affected the quality of service. The pizza was ok, just ok. Wouldn't eat pizza from here again.

well used to eat there all the time, however every time I order the wheat spaghetti with pesto, it comes with cheese sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't??? I hate parmessean cheese, god know I spelled it wrong. anyway after eating there 20 times I realized this and tell the waiter no cheese, as my whole family eats there. so after the last time I ate there with my family, I ordered our usually appetizers zuccinni sticks and jalepeno cheese raviolis. well even that wasn't consistant, they changed the breadiing on it which is no prob but the waiter should of notified us, the raviolis don't come with a white cheese filling anymore, they come with a nasty nacho cheese style. I couldn't stand them and after a bite I told him to take it back. after my bill came which I would gladly pay, I thought it was very unprofessional of them to charge me for something that was not good and different. my point is they are very inconsistant. but when its good which is give and take there the food is good. Another thing is, I own a business for 13 years in the same city, If you own the place don't just sit there a give everyone a look and not smile. hope this helps! I doubt I'll ever go bakc in there. Yeah I'm picky but I'll pay for my meal whatever it cost and not make a squeek if its good!

If you live in RC, I suggest that you order your pizza here instead of Dominos, Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. And yes, they do delivery. Thin crust, non-greasy and freshly made... is how we most want our pizza to be. I don't know what kind of pizza sauce they use but it sure is good!

Writing this review before I eat the pizza. Customer Service is Great!! They are delivering a pizza 13.5 miles away. It becomes a $50 pizza with four cans of coke & a good tip. That'sItForNow

Hands down one of the best pizza's I've ever had! Ingredients are fresh and high quality and the pizzas are always consistent. You won't be dissapointed. Haven't tried many other items on the menu because the pizza is that awsome. An extra large will easily feed a family of 5.

You cant beat the price on their super size pizza..when I have parties I sometimes order from costco for $10, but here the pizza is HUGE! and its like $23, you can feed many people and it is very very delicious. The angel hair pasta is also very good as well as chick parm. Service is good, staff is nice, and I like the atmosphere here, really nice place to have dinner, especially outside. 5 Stars!

  • M. R.

went there for the first time...had the chicken parm...it was a slice of chicken breast smaller than a normal veal.....thought maybe i got the veal by mistake..never seen such a small piece of chicken.about a 1/4" thick with breading..usually its a big piece of breast...thought it was small for the price of 15.00....they certainly made a big profit....service was not good the other tables that had the guy waiter had much better service and he paid more attention to his tables the girl must be related to the owners...she never came back to check on the meals or refills for the drinks.....to bad it could be a nice place....stick to the pizza......

Only good thing about our visit was the food; if you are looking for a restaurant with good food and deplorable service Monaco's is perfect. We were seated and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Then I asked for a coke and was brought a diet coke when I brought this to our servers attention he actually disagreed with me......I know the difference between coke and diet coke. Then it took him 15 minutes to bring me my coke. The food came pretty fast and was pretty good, never saw our server again till it was time to pay. He dropped the bill off and dissapeared again. We waited 15 minutes then took the bill to our server. There is zero management at this place, unless you count the older lady who was too busy smoking around the corner with half of the servers. Needless to say we will never go back again, the food just was not good enough to excuse the service.

We have ordered food here for pick up at my office & its good food but just last week we tried to order 2 xl pizza's and the lady that answered the phone was really short and rude and not helpful what so ever. She said to "call back" when I asked her if she could hold for a second because I wanted to ask my fellow peers what topping they wanted. So she pretty much lost a customer. I will not be recommending anyone here at the office to go here. Horrible customer service.

So we went on a Friday night and they were pretty busy, they got us a table right away for four. Our server was great, she was juggling us and a big party and I was worried, but she handled it . We ordered cheese bread, antipasto salad and BBQ chicken pizza, awesome! This place is great! Be warned though it is very loud which was great for us, but some might not like! I will definitely be going back!

This place has the worst service I have ever received!!! The hostess was not helpful what so ever! We called to put our name in and we were told there will be no wait And I walk on 2 mins later there was a 45 min wait!!?? What!!! I asked to speak with a manager and i was told she is busy waiting tables she cant talk now! Wow ok! And she never came to our table while we were there. We ordered a salad and waited about 30 to get just a house salad!! That has way way to much cheese! 50 mins later we got our one pizza we order which was very food I have to say ! Over all the service is HORRIBLE!!

Happy hour for BEER is great cuz its really cheap but i never had their food except the cheese bread and it sucked bigones. It was like the long flat breads in middle school. They just put a super thin layer of cheese on it and it was not that great but the Beer Happy Hour made me me mucho HAPPY. I use to go there all the time with my drinking buddies, kind of a pre-game spot for us. The waiter and bar tender is always really cool with us and always keeps our drinks full IF We Sit At The Bar, otherwise it can take a minute. I always see people picking up food so i might try a pizza one day if it doesn't dip into my beer money. hehehe

We have our dinners delivered about twice a month and always get prompt, friendly service. We tend to try different entrees each time and can honestly say the food is delicious and plentiful. I don't mind paying better than average prices when you get this kind of quality from a local restaurant.

  • Quinton B.

I have ordered pizza to go twice and ate inside the restaurant once. That was enough! Nothing is terrible but nothing is great, either! The pizza lacks flavor- no salt/seasoning at all. This is not a real cooking establishment. it is an "assembly job" restaurant. Everything is pasta- no real entrees that have to be cooked by a chef. Just lots of pre-made red sauce (not good sauce either) and boiling water. They dump the pasta on the plate and ladle on the sauce, throw on the commercial grade mozzarella and bada-bing! Anybody could do it- like the dozen or so high school students they have running the place. Oh, and they operate a fryer for the frozen appetizers and the desserts are not made in-house (more frozen stuff). At least they have a full bar, so I was able to console my disappointment in the food with a martini! I will say it is clean and it is packed with people who don't know any better. Also, for the quality, this place is grossly overpriced. A glorified Pizza Hut. Spend your money on gas and drive to Claremont or Pasadena and get some real Italian food!

In reading all the reviews, maybe I should have gotten the pizza. Of course, I didn't read all the reviews before I came here, which was a shame. It would have given me some warning at the very least. If you want GOOD italian food (save for the pizza, I suppose), do not come here. In reading the menu, I already got the impression that this wasn't going to be fantastic. There was nothing that jumped out and made me say, "HELL YEAH, I WANT THAT!". Instead, I settled for the traditional spaghetti with meat sauce and ONE meatball. The spaghetti dish was $10.50 and the 1 meatball was $1.99. Um... the meatball was the size of a hackeysack and it's cut in 2 to make it look like you're getting more. Do'nt be fooled! The meat sauce was nothing special. Worst of all, they don't really cook the spaghetti with the sauce. Look, I've made enough pasta at home to know that it tastes way better when you cook the pasta with the sauce. Nope, didn't happen here. They lay the pasta in a bowl, then slap the sauce right on top for you to mix. We might as well go to the Old Spaghetti Factory and get the food for cheap. Also, the pasta is just way oversauced. Want more disappointment? No unlimited garlic breadsticks. They brought out 2 breadsticks: 1 for me, 1 for my wife. We asked if there were refills. The very nice gentleman waiter (who was really nice & friendly) said, no, but we can order more if we'd like... :(. My wife's angel hair pasta with meat sauce? Same deal as mine = pasta in bowl, lots of sauce on top. After finishing our meal, I start to reminisce of those days when we went to Olive Garden. How bad does that sound?

No BS. My family and I went there last night. We purchased the pizza and for my 7 year old (picky eater) son he wanted Chicken Nuggets. So we let him order it. We were almost done with dinner when I grabbed one of his chicken nuggets, he was eating it with no complaints the entire time. Guess what?....RAW CHICKEN NUGGETS!! No kidding, it was still half way frozen! Thank God he didn't get food poisoning, they just offered to take the cost of the nuggets off. But I hope someone reads this and they see what irresponsibility can do to a business. Good luck.

I'll start by saying that this was one of the best pizzas that I've had in a while. Seriously. Nice, thin, flavorful crust, great sauce, I couldn't ask for anything more. A far cry from the standard pizza places that have infested our cities. I'll go as far to say that they have the best pizza in the local area. I actually found this place when I went here for lunch with my co-workers who had been here a number of times. Because it's located about as far away from businesses as humanly possible, and nestled right next to a slew of housing developments, this place was empty when we went there. You would think you'd get very attentive service, but I've had it vary from very attentive to very apathetic. I get the sense that this is family-owned, and as a result, they haven't worked out their service kinks just yet. My original rating was 4 stars, but I've lowered it to 3 as a direct result of the service. I've only eaten in during lunch, so I have no idea how the service at dinner might acutally be. I have only ordered one of their lunch specials, which range from your choice of a very large personal pizza with one topping, sandwich, or spaghetti, a salad, and a drink for $7.50. This has to be the bargain of the day. I could only eat half of the pizza I ordered my very first visit and only a fraction of the salad, so they definitely gave me my money's worth. My second visit, I gave my salad to my friend and I just ate the sandwich. I've heard that their pastas aren't their strong suit, but I've had the Penne Carbonara and on a separate visit, the Linguini and Clam sauce. Both were pretty good and I've ordered both of them on subsequent visits. Personally, I think I like their pizzas better, not that the pastas are bad, but the pizzas are that good. **Update** I came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and we had very good service. Providing that they can keep it up (meaning keeping this particular waitress), I'm conditionally raising my rating from 3 stars to 4.

Love love love this place. Good food, people and decor. Been coming here since the day it was opened and I will never stop. Try Roland's Special. My husband is a huge fan of the Penne Carbanara. The sauce is yummy and my favorite of all time is the lasagna!!!! Enjoy!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!!

Order for delivery, never again!!!! I am orginally from Chicago and they have great pizza places everywhere. Moved here 3 mos ago and have been looking for a good pizza place comparable to Chicago. So far no luck :( I ordered the bar b que chix pizza and it was awful. Crust was thick and chewy the cheese was stringy as if it was reheated over and the sauce was barely there. A HUGE disappointment.

I was there last night for a school fundraiser and surprised that this place was not ready to handle the amount of people that came for the event. In any case, I ordered the stromboli and it was very good. I have had the pizza here before, it is overpriced, but it is also pretty good. The rest of my party was happy with their very basic meals including a meatball sandwich, pasta with meat sauce, and pastrami sandwich. Pretty good place, service was a bit lacking because they were overwhelmed but could tell they did the best as they could.

I will never go back. My friend got the salmon and spaghetti. The spaghetti was in a big clump on his plate, like a ball of yarn. He puked it all up later. All over my friend's truck. I got a terrible lasagna dish. Just don't go, or else you'll be puking in the parking lot.

Monaco's has a full menu, but I've only had their pizza. It's GOOD. It's the only place I get pizza from. Delivery is quick and if you get the Clipper (doesn't everyone?) there is almost always a free delivery coupon. Dining in: service was good, the food was quick and the wine list was decent. Support local biz and get your pizza from here, it's better than all those other chains. Oh yeah, if you happen to go there during the Winery Estate Harvest festival, the owner's brother is in a band and they might be playing. They're pretty good!

Night before Christmas and all thur Rancho Cucamonga not a pizza place was open...not even Papa John's. All of the gifts were wrapped and under the tree, but Mom needed some last minute stuff, so it was up to my BF and me. After fighting for parking and yelling at Target employees we called all over town with no pizza, with little ease. Just about to give up I gave it one more try - a glimmer of hope - Monaco's PIzza tonight. Ordered take out from the 3 teens holding down the fort, while the 2 owners celebrated the holiday with 2 alcohol bottles of some sort. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 pints - 3 frigging dollars total!!...what a delight! As our pizza was brought out, we downed the last of our pints and it turned out to be a Merry Christmas for all, and for us a less stressed night!

This is my local pizza joint. I've been going to here since it openned up a few years ago and have always had great food. There are occasionally some missteps with the food or service but they do a great job overall. Specifically, there's one waitress there, who usually works around lunchtime on weekdays, who does a fantastic job of managing several groups of customers without ignoring anyone. While it may be decorated like a model home, I always have a great time at Monaco's.

Food is superior to other Italian in the area. This is authentic italian food!!! Anyone who grew up in the IE will remember a little pizzeria called "Sal's Red Devil Pizza" on Wheeler @ Foothill. over in LaVerne... The same pizzeria is now all grown up. Now as a full -service italian restaurant they serve their famous pizzas with a full course italian menu. Fettucini Alfredo (their alfredo sauce will change your life) Lasagne Spaghetti Manicotti Penne Carbonara Lobster Ravioli Chicken Parmesean Just a few of the best dishes they make. The portions are generous, food is always served HOT HOT HOT, if you need something ask, the servers are always happy to meet your needs. The owners are in the kitchen, just about every day!

I have to thank yelp for helping me find this place. Im a huge pizza fan and now that I use yelp I want to try all the pizza places in the IE to see witch one is best. I loved the pizza here at monacos. It was real cheesy, the sauce and the crust were great. I came with my wife my 2 sons and my sister in law. We ordered one XL pepperoni, a side of wings and 5 drinks for 35 bucks. Real good price for some great pizza. I still like San biaggios a bit more but this pizza isn't far behind. I loved the restaurant itself, it's not like any other pizza place I've been to, seems real fancy, the waitress was real nice, kept our drinks full the whole time. All in all a great place, I'll definatly be back.

I can complain about anything. I have no complaints about their pizza. In fact, it was much better than anything I've had in the vicinity. It's similar to Round Table except it doesn't have the overwhelming flavor of preservatives. There are 2 places that sell pizzas I can get excited about: Monacos and Romano's in Redlands.

I had a large birthday party for my husband (45 people) and wanted some 'really good' meatballs for sandwiches. My daughter and I taste-tested meatballs from five restaurants and we like Monaco's the best. I ended up ordering a tray and a half of Meatballs and a tray of Sausage and Peppers. Everyone LOVED them and wanted to know where I got them. I was so happy with the quality of the food and service Monaco's provided. I will use this great Italian restaurant again.

This restaurant has the BEST pizza we have found anywhere! Cooked to perfection, on a thinner type of crust, crispy on the edges, with fresh ingredients. They also have two large big screens and are perfectly happy to change the channel to what you want to watch (i.e., soccer for hubby). Friendly, helpful staff. The lunch special is a very good deal: entree with salad and drink for $7.99 (I think). The restaurant lacks romantic ambience, so don't go there for a quiet romantic dinner. But overall it's a good value for good food. The PIZZA is what MAKES this restaurant, in my mind! I've never ordered any other entrees, so I can't vouch for them. Stick with the pizza.

I would have given this place 4 stars, or even 5 but its the price that kills it. Delicious pizza and appetizers. Love the Calamari and Wings as starters. I love that they deliver!!!!!

You know, I've been getting pizza from there for awhile. It's not bad. I've had some people tell me that they haven't raised their prices since they opened. OK. I'm willing to take people's word for that. In that case, I have to say that their prices are just plain too high for the quality. Come on! 40 bucks for a medium pie and a eggplant hero? Ridiculous! If I got that from my place on NY, it would be at least ten bucks less and it would kick ass on Monaco's. Lately it's just not worth the money. Service has always been good and delivery is fast.

Waaaay over priced for serving sizes!!! Was not impressed, and will not go back. Ordered wings as an appetizer. received 6 wings for $9.00. Waiter brought our appetizer AFTER our soup and salad Had been delivered. I ordered the french dip. $9 for sandwich and nothing else! No sides, nothing. Roast beef was awful, bun was so soggy gross had to ask for another and au jus was cold. Spaghetti was ok, but small portion for price. All four of our meals arrived at different times. Bad service because of it. Didn't even serve any bread. Take a pass on this one.

We came here because Dillon's brother used to work here, and of course, for his mom's birthday, why wouldn't we go to an Italian restaurant? Dillon's brother really wanted me to order the lasagna and not the ravioli, and thinks the meat sauce is way higher quality than the marinara, but the spinach ravioli with marinara was just fine. I also tried Dillon's lasagna, which was a favorite at the table, and it was fine; tasty, but nothing special. I actually thought my ravioli was better. The wine list is also not terribly impressive, but they have a few favorites on hand. All the entrees come with antipasto salads, which also weren't exceptional. The only truly exceptional part of the meal was the delicious garlic bread. It tasted so fresh and was so covered in garlic and butter... the only thing that could've made it better was more garlic crushed on top. The atmosphere was really nice: I expected it to be a little fancier than it was judging on decor alone. We went on a Friday evening, and the place was pretty packed when we walked in, but by the time we left there were maybe 4 tables full. Our service was good, possibly because the whole staff knew most of Dillon's family already. I will say it seems that most of the staff is about 18-19, and just learning to be capable and polite. Our waitress was good, though, very attentive to all ten of us. For everything mostly being unnoteworthy, I did notice one small thing that made me wince. Dillon's brother asked for a shot of espresso with dessert and they had already turned their espresso machine off (this is at maybe 8:30pm when they don't close until 10pm). So he waited for like twenty minutes for them to turn it back on and eventually got his shot to him, but it had already been sitting out for quite a while before he received it. Being a coffee snob, I now know that espresso expires really quickly, especially when it's just espresso straight up, and I thought he should ask for another shot since the first was undrinkable. Neither he nor the waitress realized that espresso goes bad, though. I guess I just feel that if you're going to have espresso service at all, people should be educated/trained on it. Anyway, it's a good, friendly, family-style, take-out quality restaurant that seems to aspire to being a little fancier, but has a ways to go.

Ate dinner here last night and enjoyed our anti pasta with ruffino chianti. Usually order the Roland special pizza, which although somewhat pricy is excellent. Only suggestion is to make the eggplant a little thicker in the eggplant parmigiana.

This place isn't too bad at all. The big plus here that I found was 10$ hef pitchers! That's pretty good, and it doesn't even need to be happy hour for it either. I didn't try much of the food here, just the zucchini, which was alrite I guess. The food that people ordered around me seemed pretty good to eat. This place has a nice patio, a small bar which can maybe hold about 8 people, and have a couple TV's, so not a bad place to hang with a buddy, but not a great place for groups b/c it has a good amount of small set tables. If I remember the menu correctly it is about $$, 10-15$ for some food, but you are also paying for the good service and the decor, which is very nice. I'd come here again just for the pitcher.

I love their pizza!!! It is a lil bit pricey but it is worth it. Ask for extra sauce with any toppings you choose and its great!!! Def will go again.

This place is shady. Dont get me wrong... the food is good, the service is decent, and the atmosphere is chill. But the place is small, its expensive, and their bar is tiny. However, none of this really deserves one star. But charging me $21 for a medium two topping pizza because i got it with chicken and meatball does. Had i known a medium pizza was gonna cost that much i would've obviously not came here. Dont get me wrong, good food costs more money but I could've gone to Lucille's had i known that i was spending that much money on my dinner. The worst part is that their menus say that the medium 2 topping pizza is $18. Why do u guys say that the price is one thing but charge something else? At the very least, put it on ur menus that certain toppings are more expensive or educate ur employees to let ur customers know when ordering that certain toppings cost more. Giving me the excuse that "oh u know, certain toppings go up and down in price" is a f**king joke. I hope it was worth over charging me and being a shady restaurant because i will never come back to ur establishment again. There are plenty of other local italian restaurants that treat their customers right that i would love to take my business to instead of Monaco's. Ill gladly let anyone know to stay away from Monacos because of your sketchy business practices.

This place is really good. I'm not a big pizza person at all, and their pizza impressed me. Great sauce. Yummy thin crust. I called in an order and was pleasantly surprised by how nice they all were. I found the place online while looking for local delivery restaurants, and I will be trying out the dining part of the restaurant soon. Great pizza! Great service! Edited: The only complaint I have is that the last 3 times I've ordered food from there, the Delivery Guys don't EVER ask you if you need change, they just start walking away. The last time I ordered, my bill was $23, I gave him two $20's and he just walked away. I had to ask him to come back and give me my change which was $17!! I usually tip very well, but that day, I didn't give him anything.

I love the super thin crust pizza, it is the best. Perfect crust crunch with lots of chewy cheese. One of the best pizzas around. Plus Peroni on tap.

Stopped in for lunch with my sister about11:45 on a Friday and there were only two other tables occupied. It took several minutes for anyone to come and seat us, even though the service staff were all in plain view chit chatting in the kitchen. Once seated we quickly ordered, and were promptly brought our salads and iced teas. That was the last we saw of our waitress. We had ordered an italian sandwich (requested no mustard and no oil and vinager) and a stuffed pizza roll. After 55 minutes and no refills, we flagged down a waiter, who couldn't be bothered to slow down to see what we need, just told us he would send our waitress over. With that our food was finally delivered, and the sandwich had mustard and vinager and oil on it.....of course. When the waitress was flagged down AGAIN her additude was TERRIBLE! She said it wasn't her fault, it was the kitchens fault. She took it back and we watched (and listened) as she loudly voiced her displeasure with us to the rest of the staff! We asked another waiter for the manager..... Who never showed up. By the time the sandwich came back we asked for boxes because our quick lunch was now at 1 1/2 hours....the waitress all but threw the boxes at us and was so verbally rude, I would NEVER GO BACK!!!! I emailed the owner from their web page and never heard back. Our parents went in a couple weeks later for dinner and had a very similar experience. Trust me, we have shared our horibble experiences with EVERYONE we know. Your food will only carry you for so long. When you treat your customers as though they have no value.....you will cease to have customers.

The food is delicious, however the service is not so good. Our server came off rude at the beginning, being very short, quick and rush. We were celebrating a birthday lunch and were recommended by one of the workers at Massage Envy. It was a little disappointing. As the dining experience continue the server may have overheard my guests and I talking about the bad service and was friendlier towards the end. Overall the food was good, but the service was on the poor-medium side. Sorry Monaco, there won't be a next time.

A friend of ours turned us on to Monaco Pizza. First timers. We left extremely happy. It was a Sunday afternoon (2pm) and we did have to wait about 5 min to be seated. Maybe 4 parties inside and a large party of 12-15 on the outside patio. Kind of a smaller place but I can see it getting full QUICK during weekends. After being seated we were greeted pretty quick by Dave. Great guy and great server. I was able to watch the Final round of the Masters and the Angle game at the same time and have a a Awesome meal with the Family. GREAT house wine. Walnutcrest Cab. We bought 3 bottles to go. Only tweek I would suggest is better coverage. It got busy quick. David handled the room pretty good though. Will be back to give it another shot.

I use to love this place, the pizza was better than most in the area and the prices were good. Thats how all good businesses start! Today we decided to order a carry out pizza, BBQ Chicken Pizza... We get it home and find 2 pieces of hair on it! SICK!!! So we call back and speak with Daisy (Claimed to be the manager), we told Daisy we were going to bring the pizza back and wanted a full refund! She said she is unable to do so (Very poor customer service skills on this manager) nothing like "Oh no, that's horrible" more like "too bad you found hair and what do you want us to do about it?" type of attitude. I was pissed!! Not only was there hairs in our pizza -- but the "Manager" didn't even care. This is how all good business END! I read a few reviews about Monaco's customer service skills -- the reviews are true! You have a lot of young kids working there with no customer relation skills -- sooner than later they will start to lose clientele and there goes their business! Now i'm home, pissed off because they "couldn't" give me my money back today -- I have to wait until tomorrow... Come to find out the main Manager can't be reached because they are in Hawaii. Wow. I'm done with this place -- HAIRS IN THE PIZZA.... YUK!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.... YUK... Monaco's Pizza in Rancho Cucamonga.... YUK! Stay away -- or make sure to inspect your pizza thoroughly before eating it... Their cooks don't wear anything to keep their hair out of the food... I witnessed this first hand when returning my pizza... I bet they don't even wash their hands!! Monaco's Pizza in Rancho Cucamonga lost another customer.

Give this place a try. Its really good. Funny thing is, I have never had the pizza here, but it looks and smells great. All the other food is excellent. In the past, there has been issues with the service, but on this visit in Oct 2013, we were seated quickly, and our waiter was on his A-Game. Monaco's: Your food is good. Stay laser focused on WOW customer service. EVERY employee should smile and greet guests standing in the front in case the hostess has not seen them yet. SIMPLE, GOOD, customer service will have the 5 star ratings rolling in.

This place ranges from 1 star to 4 star on any given day. Each time you order you're either going to get great service and great pizza or horrible service and cold stale pizza. I usually order a basic pizza with pepperoni sausage and olives and have it delivered. The first time i ordered the pizza was hot and fresh. Really good. I ordered it again a week later and it took 3 hours to get the pizza and it appeared as if the pizza sat in the car for 3 hours. I called management and they claimed that they thought it was for pick up and once they figured out it was for delivery they came to my house and no one answered the door. Yeaaaa.... riiiighhhht. Anyways, if you're lucky enough to go on a good day you'll get good pizza, but if its a bad day expect to be disappointed.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with quality. They make everything from scratch so that its made fresh and served on your plate with the highest quality for the best taste imaginable. You can't complain about length of service for food when you're being prepared freshness. This isn't olive garden, this is a real, true, quality restaurant and give it my highest rating and recommendation because of the welcoming owners, staff and service.

My husband and I have been here a few times and have been very happy with the service and food. We've been looking for a small family style restaurant and are happy to say that we've found it. The antipasti salad is great as well as the lasagna, sausage sandwich and manicotti. It's a relaxing, casual atmosphere.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU LIKE TO BE IGNORED. The front of the house (restaurant) is very poorly run. 4 of us went for lunch last Sunday. nearly half of the restaurant was empty and we saw 2 servers working the tables but no one was at the hostess station. After standing there for nearly 10 minutes, we were finally acknowledged and taken to a table. Looking around, there were 2 tables with dirty dishes that looked like they had been there for a while. It took another 15 minutes to be able to place our order, and another 30 minutes to get the food. So it took nearly an hour between the time we walked in to a half empty restaurant to the time we were served. Our server (tatooed arms) was very nice and was clearly trying her best to keep up. Obviously management is not concerned about customer service. During our visit, there was another table of 4 behind us who finally got fed up at being ignored and walked out. I also saw another party of 5 walk in the restaurant, stand waiting for a long time, and finally left after no one acknowledged their presence. Nearly an hour and a half after we arrived, we saw a young woman walk up to the hostess stand. Where the hell was she while 2 parties (total of 9 patrons) walked out for being ignored? In a restaurant, service is everything...and this restaurant has no service. I can only imagine how much business they lose because they ignore customers. By the way, as we were leaving (over an hour and a half after arriving), the 2 tables next to us still had the dirty dishes piled up...

My party of 3 walks in at 5pm on a Monday with about 3 tables taken. Asked waitress for a booth (as we are all 6'+ adult males) but was told they have to save it in case a party of 6 walks in... Uhhh, there are 2 booths available on a slow night you should accommodate your current customers not your POSSIBLE customers. Enjoyed my first trip here, but this visit was forgettable. Luckily the food makes up for some of the lousy all-around service.

  • Morgan I.

This place has lousy service in the restaurant and on the phone. Yes our waiter got our orders wrong to multiple people in our party. That can be forgiven. It is the front of house service especially the reservation desk that has issues at this place. We made reservations and they demanded a $25 fee to hold a table. First off that is a crappy policy. Don't give them your credit card or you will be sorry. We were told that a $25 fee would be not be charged and it was merely to hold a table. We were hesitant about giving a credit card number over the phone, unfortunately we did. Big mistake. Terrible policy. After dinning Monaco's claimed they credited the bill $25, but we did not approve of this. Even if this was credited, they lied saying that the credit card was merely to hold the table. We tried to work this out over the phone and with the manager and receptionist and they basically said "To bad that is how it is done." I guess the customer is not right in this case. Be wary of giving your credit card to these guys for reservations. We would not make a reservation and just show up rather than have Monaco's run their reservation scheme.

The boyfriend suggested this place for date night, I had never heard of it but I'm always down for some pizza and Italian. We went on a Friday night around 9 and surprisingly we were seated right away, the place wasn't even filled which I expect from most restaurants on a Friday night. We ordered a small 2-topping pizza to share (8 slices) and an appetizer of fried cheese and jalapeno ravioli. It took a while for the appetizer to come out and once it did the pizza came about a minute later which is okay but I prefer to have time to enjoy the appetizer before the main dish arrives. The food was good but not great and the service a little slow at times, but none the less friendly. I'd give it another try.

  • Adriel R.

I was not impressed at this restaurant. Poor service. Cooks will stand around and talk from time to time. Plenty of vacant spots and yet took 10 minutes to get seated. When seated, still took another 10-12 minutes for our waitress to take our drink orders. Food took 30 or so minutes to arrive on our table. Sub par Italian food at the price given. Calamari was decent though. Lasagna is far from traditional and the tomato sauce is watery. I did not order any pizza though so I can not rate there. They also did not honor the yelp first-time check-in discount so don't bother checking-in.

Molto Bene! GREATS: Service Food Wine Dessert Ambience GREAT FOR: any occasion lol MUST TRY: VEAL!!! (not sure what the dish was called, i think it's new :D ) for dessert: Coppa Mascarpone!! So nice to have a mom/pops Italian restaurant only 5 min from home!! I'm not Italian but this place sure makes you want to be one. We sat away from the bar (but had clear view) and it felt like i was watching the Sopranos having Sunday dinner!!! (without the mafia feel of course lol) If you want to have real Italian food ... COME HERE!!!!

I live nearby, so I thought I'd try this place since it was recommended by a friend. I really liked it at first. I have come for lunch with coworkers and dinner with friends and ordered take out. I have been coming here for 2 years, and I don't think I will be coming anymore. They have a great lunch special. Good food for a good price. Worth it if you get to sit and eat. We have been there on Fridays for lunch and normally get great service. I went with at lunch with 4 others and we were not sat even though tables were open. It was the lunch rush, yet there were only 2 servers. We finally get sat and we were ignored. We didn't get so much as a nod and maybe a "sorry were short, but we will be right with you." One server kept looking in our direction and walking away. After about 10 to 15 minutes we walked out. Others in my party refuse to ever come back. Pizza is pretty good, but its expensive for what you get when its not lunch time. Especially the specialty pizzas. Salad also pricey. Dinner salad that consists of only lettuce, canned olives, tomato cubes and a sprinkle of cheese should not be $8.00. On top of that, if you want extra dressing, its $0.75. Servers are also rude. They don't check on you and when you get their attention to ask for something, you get attitude because you are bothering them and making them work. The jalapeno ravioli are also very good, even better with the Roland pepper mix. However, you'll be paying extra to get the special Roland sauce. I've picked up food many times. While waiting by the take out door, you can see their kitchen. There are usually plenty of people working yet they are slow. Maybe its because all the employees seem like they are high school students and the owner is always hovering and micromanaging rather than paying attention to what kind of service customers are getting in the restaurant. While the pizza is good, its not so good that I'd pay that much money to get such bad service.

    (2)
  • Ctal L.

Horrible service!!! Slow and very rude! Took almost two hours to get two beers and a medium pizza! Had to flag down our waitress every time we needed anything.. Brought out dirty dishes to us twice. Didnt bring napkins or refill our waters once. When we left she made a really rude remark under her breath. So we asked to talk to the manager about the server and all the manager said was "well did you pay already?" We said "yes" manager said "...well I don't know what you expect me to do about it then.." Wow!! We just walked out. We will NEVER go back! No food is worth the bad service we just had!! :(

  • Sonya E.

Do not go here! We have gone twice, because we forgot, after the first time, we did not like this place! We sat down to eat and the service was alright but the food was not. We started with a garden salad with ranch dressing. Each time the salad look terrible and the taste was bland. Iceberg lettuce should always be mixed with another type of lettuce but not here. The salad had the yellow pieces of the iceberg lettuce and it had way too much cheese. Ugh. When the pasta arrived, it was watery and the sauce did not have much flavor. The pizza was ok. Too much sauce and not enough cheese. The only good thing about this place is the garlic bread. We actually enjoyed it. Crispy and buttery. Overall, would not recommend this place.

Went to Monaco's last night for dinner with my fiancé and son. I have to say I wasn't all that impressed. We arrived at around 5:45pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. The hostess at the front was snobby and rude which didn't start our experience on a positive note. After being seated, we weren't acknowledged by our server, Dave, for at least 10 minutes. When Dave finally made it to our table, we placed our drink orders (2 iced teas & a kids lemonade) which we didn't receive for another 10 minutes. When he returned with our drinks, we placed our appetizer order (calamari) and told him we hadn't decided on entrees yet so we would order them once we received our appetizer. The calamari came out quickly and was piping hot with great flavor, so no complaints there. We ended up ordering a kids penne with alfredo sauce, a small house salad, a mini pepperoni & jalapeño pizza, and a mini artichoke & garlic pizza. The salad was big enough to share and had a generous amount of cheese on top so again, no complaints about the food. However, service was ridiculously slow especially considering we were one of 2 tables with customers in the whole place. Our drinks were refilled one time the entire visit because our server kept disappearing and left us unattended. Our pizzas came out and looked delicious but our son's penne with alfredo was nowhere to be found. Mind you, he is 6 and was definitely ready to eat. We sat waiting for our server to return with the pasta which took almost 15 minutes! The kitchen forgot to make it so our pizzas got cold while we waited for our son's dinner. After all of the entrees were delivered, we were never checked on to see if the food was good or if we needed anything. At this point, the restaurant was becoming busier but there were no staff anywhere! Even the rude hostess had gone missing. People waiting in the front were becoming agitated and the seated customers were left with empty glasses and untaken orders. Finally, Dave appeared out of breath (for what reason I have no clue) so we asked for a box and our check. We sat for nearly 20 minutes waiting for him to bring us the box and the check! No joke! Plus, he charged us for our son's lemonade ($2) which was supposed to be included with his meal. I didn't bother asking him to correct it because I was afraid we would be stuck waiting another 20 minutes. Based off of this visit, our first, we will not be returning. Yes, the food is tasty and high-quality, but it is EXTREMELY overpriced and the service is horrible.

Just ordered a to go order and I ordered the mozzarella sticks.. They were hollow inside..no cheese..hello? Most of the time this place us good but I will tell you one thing.. I don't like the way the manager talks to her employees.. I've gotten to go orders and have been standing there waiting for my order listening to her berate her poor employees.. It's very uncomfortable and I don't like bullies!!!

This place has the best pizza in town. After being let down multiple times at other pizza locations around town we decided to give it a shot. We were almost turned off by the reviews but glad that we tried it. I had the veggie pizza and my wife had the Stromboli. We left very satisfied. The service was good but we could tell they were understaffed. You won't regret eating here.

I have written a review before, but unfortunately the last few experiences at Monaco's have been bad. The service is getting worse & worse.. when it takes more than 20 minutes for a server to come take a drink order...& there is only 3 other people in restaurant something is wrong. Then after he takes the order he takes at least another 15 minutes to bring them, its very disappointing. We even got up & told him we were leaving because it was just ridiculous we wasted so much time already (plus they ended their lunch special on Sundays!!) He says rudely.. ok after i went and poured all these for you!....Excuse me but you took almost 40 minutes to get those waters and ice teas to us! And the restaurant is empty. So again I am so bummed to have had these experiences Monaco's used to be a weekly stop for me, but I dont think it will be anymore until they get better service because their food is great unfortunately their team needs to step up though

The food was very good. I got the pizza lunch special, which for $7.50 is a really good deal because it includes a salad and a drink, but it took FOR EV ER. It took 15 minutes to get drinks and order and then after 35 minutes we finally had to ask to have the item to go. On the Bright side, the pizza was good and the salad was good.

I've never sat in the restaurant, but I've order their take out pizza several times and it is DELICIOUS! The pizza alone gives it 5 stars for me. The bread/dough is high quality. I would have to say it is some of my favorite pizza that I have ever had.

Horrible service, I bought a tequila sunrise ordered it with a specific tequila. Kyle my waiter proceeded to bring me my sunrise with wells and a lame apology and the promise of a half off drink. Why I was being obligated to buy something I didn't order is already beyond me. Waited for too long to even feel acknowledged and place our order and when the ticket came I didn't get half off, it was a small discount. I didn't argue since it was only or buck or two, but I left no tip and here is my review of restaurant lacking leadership, from a lost customer. Never going back even though the food was descent. Suck it

This place alright. I go there primarily for pizza. Really good! The service is ok, last time I was there they were really busy and only had one waitress, but she was nice. There meat sauce for the spaghetti lacks meat and homemade soups are good.

I eat here frequently and it always reminds me of being back home in the old country when mama would prepare her usual Sunday pasta feast. The food is expertly prepared, the servers are speedy and attentive. To top all of this off they have a great selection of wine, pet friendly outdoor dining and beyond reasonable pricing. They put there sweat and hard work into making your visit memorable. The next best thing to mama!

Went to Monaco's for lunch. We waited for a bit until the waiter actually served us. No host/hostess. We also saw that our waiter was running so fast from table to table it actually mad you nervous and you could not have a relaxing lunch. The overall service needs to be improved to be friendly, courteous and prompt. Not a face who runs to you and runs away and gives you no interaction at any level, recommendations or talks about any specials. The lunch special was $13.95 for a small pizza, salad and drink. Way overpriced for what you received. The eggplant was OK. Close to being to thin and to much sauce and cheese. It was nice I could order a wheat pasta instead of regular. My bang for buck was better than the lunch special. Now that I know they have a decent menu I would come back one more time and be very specific on what I wish to eat and see how they perform. In the meantime Monaco's needs a service revamp!

Great Italian place in R.C.. Been twice so far and enjoyed both visits. Had Italian Style (Haha! I know I know). Olive oil, gorgonzola cheese, with fresh yomatoes, basil, garlic (lots!). Wife insted on removing the bacon, but it's wonderful without. Seating is comfortable but closer that most other places. It's not a negative though as the atmosphere is very good. Friendly wait staff and very quick with service. Always a plus. Lots of sports coverage a la a sports bar, so if that's not your thing, be advised, but I didn't feel overwhelmed by that. In fact, I enjoyed it. Full bar.

Monaco's Pizza has now spoiled me!! Not only was the service amazing but I had the best homemade pizza I have ever had. My favorite food is pizza and I have never found a place that can compare. I would rather wait at monaco's for amazingness (not a word ;) ) Then..... Go anywhere else.

We stopped by on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy. Our server was friendly and food came out quickly. We ordered chicken broccoli penne with Alfredo sauce, shrimp and scallops with pasta and a white wine sauce, and pizza. Everything was very good, the pizza being our favorite. It was noisy inside, but not so bad you couldn't have a conversation. My only complaint was the server forgot the breadsticks and it seemed to take quite a while to get any. Overall though, very good!

Now that our nest is empty, we have the luxury of eating out or having dinner delivered and we LOVE it! One of our favorite places is definitely Monaco's. Consistently good, at times they forget the garlic bread, enough food to share. You will not be disappointed. I did not give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement.

First let me just say this is one of the best pizzas that I have tasted on the west coast, we ordered a large with garlic and pepperoni, nothing short of amazing!.The watier was cool and courteous, I didn't have any problems at all. I most definitely will go back again.

Very friendly service and amazingly tasty food. I ordered slightly off the menu with a Cheese Tortalini with an Alfredo/Marinara (Pink) Mix with chicken and mozz baked on top. Served just the way I like it: Hot, cheesy, gooey, and yummy - in a nice sized large portion. The homemade veggie soup was delicious with large chunks of carrot, celery, and I think I detected some chicken pieces, as well. I've already told my local friend he should try this place, and I look forward to a return trip, to try other menu items, myself.

I'm a huge pizza lover so I was excited to try out this place. So my review will be based soley on the pizza i had here. The staff was very nice and attentive. We were seated down very quickly because there were not too many people in the restaurant. I didnt get the opportunity to try any of the wines on their list but it seemed like they had a good selection available. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and i have definitely had better. I felt like it was missing flavor, maybe needed more garlic. We ordered the Italian pizza and that came out pretty quickly. The pizza crust was thin and was not too greasy at all. I thought the pizza lacked flavor though, maybe more spices. Overall its a nice little place, very cozy and inviting but the pizza was just ok, ive had better...

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY! Ordered at 6:20 and they said 40 to 50 minutes and finally arrived at 8:06. Unacceptable! Food is very good, so be sure to dine in and and not order for delivery.

When we crave pizza, we crave Monaco's! At least once a month we order pizza on a Friday night and we always look forward our our large pepperoni with extra cheese. This place is the best, whether you choose to dine in, take out or have it delivered, you'll be very satisfied. The service is great and the owner Roland loves to see his customers enjoying his food. He is a very nice guy with a big smile - you can't miss him. The only downfall is that this place is well known for it's great food, so expect a wait on busy nights (Friday & Saturday). They have a nice patio on the side that welcomes your furry friends - so if you like to bring FIDO along, he'll be welcomed just like anyone else. Don't just go for the pizza, I've tried everything from the salads, sandwiches, lasagna and more and have never been disappointed. Try it - you'll LOVE it! Oh yeah . . . they also send out coupons, so check your mail box for some savings. Lastly, I just learned that they now have an APP for your iPhone or iPad. So grabbing this great grub is easier than ever!!

This place is so amazing, the food is home style Italian cooking at its best! I've been coming here with my fiancé for the past 6 months since we discovered Monacos and we both love it. The service is amazing and the Stromboli's are the best in town!

This place is unreal. The food is the best Italian I've had in So Cal! Hell all of California for that matter. The service is great the prices are very good and the owner Rose is the nicest person you will ever meet. I suggest the Roland Special Pizza with a side of Roland sauce and ranch dressing. Rose's mom is pure Italian and the food shows it. She makes this seafood pasta dish that will leave you speechless at the table. The only problem is that I wish I could rate it a 6 Star. If you have never been I would highly recommend taking a date or even the whole family you won't be disappointed. Thanks Monaco's you guys rock.

Lunch special: Personal pizza w one topping (I got pepperoni... pretty good if you eat right away, pretty greasy though... gotta do that tissue tap on top to ensure my arteries don't clog). Wish this 1 topping thing was changed to maybe pepperoni, sausage, or basic veggie pizza. I'm pretty sure the price of sausage is not as much as a few slices of mushrooms and bell peppers... and no one really eats a cheese pizza with just mushrooms. Side salad ( housemade Italian dressing... Too much cheese and olives for my tasting) And a soda (basic) Not bad for $7.50 but nothing very special either.

Food is very good. Service is excellent. They seem to nickel and dime you for food. One bread stick with your meal. Want more? It costs extra. I have never been to a restaurant that charges for extra bead. Especially Italian, that's what makes the meal. Meatballs are two bucks each. Not much bigger than a golf ball. The taste is good but not worth two dollars. I would not be surprised if they charged for the stand to put your pizza on. I would go back but I would sneak in my own bread.

FINALLY got a chance to come here. Cant believe it took us this long. We ordered a pizza with half Rolands on one side and the italian on the other. The Roland is like a meat lovers espcially since we got it without the onions and bellpeppers. It was very good and would definitly order it again. The italian pizza has garlic and a bunch of other things on it. It really works and would order it again also. We also ordered some calamari and you get a lot of them. They where ok, but ive never been a fan of calamari with maranara sauce. We got some garlic bread and it was great. Its so good you will be craving it a few days later. They only thing that really sucks, is that they dont give refills.. makes no sense and there are only a few resturants that dont give refills and they dont understand how much of a turn off that is to customers. Im sure it cost them more business because they do this vs. not giving refills.

I've been here a number of times for lunch. Their pizza lunch special is excellent. The price is good and the salad with blue cheese is very tasty. I usually get meatballs and add another topping- usually pepperoni or tomatoes. The pizza is also very tasty. We came recently for lunch. Problem one wouldn't seat us until the rest arrived. Never had that issue. Problem two we get there and nobody comes to seat us. We finally walk to the back to get someone to seat us. We are told will be right up to seat us. We end up waiting for a few minutes before we are finally seated. Final problem nobody ever comes back. Mind you they were busy but not super busy. Both the waiter an waitress saw us looking at them yet they hurriedly looked away. So 20 minutes from getting there and 15 minutes from when we were seated we left. Sadly this exp had knocked this tasty restaurant from our list of places to eat. Never again. Terrible service.

We order from here once a month. It is good quality food made with good ingredients. We usually pick up or have it delivery. Never had a problem. It is a little bit pricier than other places but you get more for the money.

My husband and I were craving pasta and pizza and since we were here before decided to eat at Monaco's. First, we waited nearly 7 minutes till a waitress saw us and assured us that the hostess would be right with us. The hostess finally showed up and said we could sit at the bar but we decided to wait for a table....another 10 minutes. Three tables were done with their dinner however the bus boy and hostess took their time cleaning the tables....no sense of urgency for waiting customers. So we finally sat down and were greeted right away by the waiter David who was attentive at first then it went all downhill from there. We ordered the Putanessca (scant amount of linguine pasta with a lot of sausage, veggies and a lot of grease and oil) and the Roland's pizza. Took ten minutes for side salad to show up along with drinks. Their pizza is very good I must say. The pasta was supposed to come with garlic bread sticks which never showed up when the dish came out. I decided to add on more bread sticks with marinara sauce....BIG mistake.....never saw it nor the bread stick that was supposed to accompany the meal. The hostess finally came over and asked how was everything and I told her about the missing bread stick and the other order of bread sticks. I saw her go tell our waiter. She came back and apologized and said it was baking and would be out soon....NEVER did it come out while we were eating our meal!!! I must say that I felt a little sorry for our waiter because he did everything, bring drinks to tables, man the bar and run around with his head cut off. Seriously to the owner of Monaco's...need a reality check...HIRE more people so that one person isn't overwhelmed with doing almost everything!!!! FINALLY, David surfaced and came to our table asking how we were doing and AGAIN I told him about the missing bread stick and other order and this is when I had no more sympathy for him...He had the audacity to tell us that "sorry about the bread sticks...my customer stole it from me" Are you kidding me????? Are we not customers too???? SO LAME!!! was observing around the room how other tables got their bread sticks with their meals and we didn't! I at this point felt like I was being discriminated against!!!! I have been to this restaurant before and never felt like how I did tonight. Customers should be KING!!!!! Obviously Monaco's doesn't give a &#$*!!! NEVER will I or any of my friends or family ever dine at this restaurant again....SERVICE SUCKS BADLY!!!!! What SERVICE???...there is NONE!!! Sad to say, paid the bill and left NO TIP....didn't deserve even a penny in my opinion!!!!

The restaurant has a nice, modern ambiance. They have a full bar, which is sort of the center piece of the place so it has the most conspicuous seating. The service was lacking when my husband and I first started going there but we've noticed a marked improvement. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and theirs is the best in the area. Its got a near perfect medium-thin chewy/crispy crust, a tangy sauce, and is set off with a sharp cheese that has just enough bite (asiago, I think). I love that you can see the boys in the kitchen tossing the dough, workin' that gluten. We've also tried the salads, chicken wings, calamari, ravioli, chicken parm, etc. and everything is delicious, plus the portions are generous. At any rate, we keep going back for the pizza. Pizza and beer/wine. We are simple creatures.

This review is for the delivery pizza. Although the price is kind of up there, you get what you pay for. Fresh ingredients and lots of them. The toppings are so loaded that two slices from an x-large were sufficient for a meal. I found a new favorite pizza place!

I love this place! I order delivery from here a lot. The pizza is by far the best in the area. I also love that I can order online, which is nice because I have three small children running ape-sh***, so phone calls are tricky for me. The order is always here quickly, always correct, and the delivery people have always been nice.

Monaco's Pizza is great. I am huge fan of both the Roland Special and the Italian Style, It can get a little pricey if you are in groups of 2 or 3. However, Every time I go it is usually with 4 or 5 other people and 1 XL pizza is more than enough for us. The drinks are good. I am more of a beer guy so I am very pleased with the $2 Peroni on tap. The Limoncello is good too if you dig that sort of thing. In short, Monaco's food is excellent and a great place for a small grou to enjoy dinner and drinks together.

This place is not "real' Italian food. The appetizers taste like frozen food in a deep fryer. The sauce is so plain. My homemade sauce is better than this place. Linda, was very RUDE and I have to say I will never eat here again because of this disgusting person. My whole experience was awful! The owner Rose, looks stoned and drunk when you talk to her. Poor customer service. PEOPLE who read this, don't eat here. NOT AUTHENTIC AT ALL. I'm Mexican/American & make better homemade Italian food at home then this place!!

The food is decent and the waitresses who served us were very helpful and courteous. The only reason I will NEVER return is the blond, short male bartender/waiter who was completely rude to my friend and me when we asked why he changed the channel. He said a rude smart alec comment loud enough so the men sitting at the table behind us could hear and laugh at us. I don't find it acceptable at all to humiliate customers, so I will advise EVERYONE I KNOW to never eat in such a place! Shame on him and though I defended myself the best I could it seems the young man gets his thrills from demeaning customers.

This is strictly a review of their takeout pizza and sandwiches, as I've never sat down to eat here, and I can't recall ever ordering any pasta dishes. First of all, the online ordering from their website is great. It takes a minute to create an account, but once you do, it works flawlessly. You can even order pizzas with different toppings on each half. The sandwiches here are really good. My favorites are the beef dip and the italian cold cuts (ordered w/o mayo and mustard). The first time I got sandwiches from here, I was eating mine on the way home, and it was so good that I called my friend to tell him how delicious it was. Then I get back to the pad and my buddy says "Wow, this sandwich is fantastic". I think the secret is mostly the warm, crunchy bread. Other good sandwiches are the chick parm, eggplant parm, meatball, and turkey bacon. The pizza here is the best in the area, and the prices are good (for gourmet, non-chain pizza). Probably the best combo I've created is artichoke hearts, bacon and gorgonzola. Salami and bell pepper, or sausage and mushroom are other good ones. I have to add one caveat about the pizza though. I think they need a new pizza oven. Either that, or the one they've got needs to be seriously cleaned. I've been noticing a burnt taste on my pizzas for a while here, and I noticed it again last week. It's not necessarily the crust, but the toppings too. It tastes like there is a burnt smoke circulating in that oven. Let's see, what else? The salads are good, I like their balsamic dressing. I ordered the stromboli once, but it wasn't as good as the stromboli my mother used to make. I didn't care for the dried spices that they sprinkled too much of on there. The owner is a really nice guy, and I want to give this place a 4 or 5, but I'm giving a 3 so hopefully they'll take notice of the burnt pizza oven and bring back the nice clean, non-smokey tasting pizzas I used to get here.

Long story short is that there was a mix up with our delivery order for a late dinner and I didn't know what to expect, honestly, as this was my first time ordering from Monaco's, but when the Owner, Rose (ie), made it right and went out of her way to call me, clear up the misunderstanding and exceed my expectations on a customer-service level, I was already a happy camper. Customer service is as equally important to me than quality and good-tasting food. To boot, the food was delicious, fresh and generous portions. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, garlic bread and a salad. All were VERY tasty and the garlic bread was heavenly. We were definitely pleased with everything and will definitely be back. Thank you Rose.

I got pizza delivered. It was on time and it was really good! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I asked for extra sauce and I didn't feel they gave me a lot. Again I got it delivered so I can not say much about their service but I definitely recommend them.

Came here Saturday for dinner as a walk-in and we were seated quickly. The dining area is smaller than it appears but it's very nice. We ordered the following: Garlic Bread, Salad, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, and Mini Pizza with pepperoni onions. The Garlic bread was nice and toasty, my wife and I both would have liked more garlic on it, but it's very delicious. My wife enjoyed her salad especially the Italian dressing. The garlic sticks look like the same bread sticks you get at Olive Garden, except that they looked toasted. There was no hint of garlic, but it could be that we like a lot of garlic. My wife's spaghetti and meat sauce was good. I ordered the mini pizza and I think it's one of the best pizzas I've had. I asked that they leave it in the oven until the edges on the pepperoni toasted, and the server was able to ensure this happened. I had perfectly toasted crust. Food was delicious and our server was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

I really use to love this place. I haven't been in a while, but a friend and I decided to go the past week. Earlier we mentioned to someone else we were going and they were disappointed with their experience. We stuck up for the place. We'll we get there and everything seemed OK. We order the an appetizer which was a ravioli stuffed with cheese and jalapeno, that was yummy! We ordered our food got our salads. Then they brought the bread and this is when it all went down hill. They changed the bread to a very simple bread stick that taste like left over pizza dough and was on the burnt side! One of the reasons I came here was because of the nicely sliced bread with garlic spread. We found out later they only serve 1 bread stick per person and we could order the old bread we were use to getting for free. It then took us forever to get our food, at least 1 hour! Once we got it we weren't too happy. I got the tortellini primavera. It was very salty and soaked in water with some olive oil. I took it home, but ended up throwing it away, I hate wasting food. I probably wouldn't be too mad if it wasn't so expensive for what you get poor quality. But considering my meal was gross and I didn't at least have the free goo garlic bread I was disappointed. If I ever go back I'll only get the pizza and chicken Parmesan!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Ordered pizza for pick up today. When I got home, opened the box, found 2 hairs in my pizza. Called and asked to speak to the manager. Manager offered me to bring back the pizza and they would give me another one with out hair. Really?!?!?! Why would I ever want another pizza from them???? Then she offered a gift card. No. I want my money back. I paid cash and she insisted that their system does not allow her to give cash back. Yes. CASH!!!! At the end they gave me a gift card and I still have to go back tomorrow to exchange my gift card for cash. NEVER again. By the way, I couldn't post this review without giving it at least 1 star. But they don't even deserve one star.

I used to love this place... however my last experience was not so good. I have been here many times with my family and never had an issue until the last time... and that will be the last time I go here. I made a reservation and they charge a $25.00 fee (by the way the fee is taxed) on a credit card... no worries this happens at small places. However they said that they would credit the $25.00+tax to my bill. They of course forgot and double charged us. I called the next day and they said they would take care of it... they ended up reversing the charge for 1 day and then put the charge back. After calling many times with no response I had to dispute it with my credit card company. No apologies or anything - REALLY disappointed. It took me two months of constant follow-up to get the $25.00+tax reversed from my card. Just stinks! I really liked the food and the Lemoncello Cosmo Martini's were SOOOOO GOOD!

Have been eating at Monaco's with the family sinced it opened. Pizza has been the choice, because of the soft and crusty dough. The last three times, over the last few months, the pizza crust has been hard and chewy. Like the reciepe or ingredients have changed. For what they charge, I might as well go to Upland for Rizza Pizza. Rizza has always been the best pizza, but just a long round trip. Cost is half of Monacos and much better.

The family and I have been having Friday night pizza for about a year and we have went to Monaco's about four times. The food is good to great (pizza, antipasto, garlic bread) but you would wonder why a one star? The service is the worst I have ever seen. We have put up with it because the food was good but the last time the service was ridiculous. The restaurant was half empty (unusual) for a Friday. We come in with our three kids (4, 6, 9) and immediately get looked at by the hostess like she doesn't want anything to do with kids. She doesn't say "Hi" or anything to us... so after about a minute we say "table for 5" She looks over to the tables where half are empty and just need to be cleaned up and states it will be about 40 minutes. I said 40 minutes why so long. The tables that are empty are for bigger parties or smaller parties of 2 but not 5. We walked out, I called back to talk to the manager to express my disappointment with the staff but he was too busy to talk but if I wanted I could call back later and if he was available he would talk then. Really!!! I think the only thing saving this restaurant is the food. But sooner or later management will have to step up and take care of this issue or they will be out of business. * Other visits had bad customer service ranging from: long long waits for food, no refills on drinks, when ordering food there was no acknowledgement from the server - she just took the order without saying a word.

No hostess on duty. Waited at my table for an hour before anyone told us our pizza was in line to be made!!!! Inexcusably poor service!!!!! We had to get out of there cuz my baby was over it so we asked for our food to go. Waited another 30 minutes for them to bring it out. Then there wasnt even garlic bread ready!!!

Great pizza! Never short on cheese or toppings. The Monday night special s an amazing deal ($5 off pizza and free fountain drinks). We have been going here for years and the service was lacking, very slow, about a year ago. It has improved since then and we've noticed some new waiters. If you were disappointed try it again.

I don't know about their pizza butttt the pasta sucked and so did the appitizers.... It was lunch in public school style. The food was cold, ravioli taste was from a can and the food was crap. the beer was cheap and i can't complain about the service. But seriously the pasta and bread sucks.....

service: Tried this on the way back from the movies at vic. g., and there was no wait to get in on a saturday evening. less than half the tables were occupied (on a saturday night) it was a cold night, and we were offered the first table, just to the right of the entrance; i'm a bit picky about where i'm seated, and i declined that table by asking if we could instead be seated at the next to it, up against the wall (and away from any draft that might come our way when the door opened.) the hostess reacted with a very subtle look of what, disdain? inconvenience? slight annoyance? whatever it was, it's like suddenly being made to feel unwelcome in someone's house, and it has the potential to ruin the entire experience. but, we were hungry, enjoying our movie 'date night' and just hoped the food would make up for the attitude. thankfully, our waiter was nice and attentive for the remainder of the time we were there. the food: the pizza was ok (the monaco special, i think they call it), and h had the spaghetti carbonara - he said that even though it got kind of heavy by end, it was delicious. the bruschetta appetizer came warmed on top of the toasted baguette, which was different. it was about $60 for the 2 of us for this, plus a glass of wine and an iced tea. although the food was ok, the price was a little high, and combined with the hostesses reaction to a request for a different table, i probably won't be back.

My experience was similiar to Adriel R. from Chino Hills and must've had the same servers. It was Sunday afternoon and we were a party of 3 walking to their big table when the waitress asked us to leave it for bigger parties who may come in and redirected us to a smaller table. Shortly after another party of 3 came in and sat on the table we couldn't have. The place was practically empty yet it took long for food to come to our table, including refills. Soup was cold and I asked for another. Servers were walking around and chatting but didn't come to check on us, or we had to get their attention. I had no problem in the past with their take-out but I won't be going there anytime soon for dine-in.

We had the most uncool dining experience here tonight. Our pizza was served before out salad and hors d'ourves, when we inquired about this fact, the server told it was busy and they were unapologetic. We asked that we could get the appetizers before the pizza and they replied "no." We ordered a pizza, which we discovered was missing two key ingredient, gorgonzola and garlic, things that are hard to miss when present. We called the owner over to complain that pizza was missing ingredients. His solution was to get a disposable sample cup with gorgonzola and spread it over the pizza with his unwashed hands. We know it was unwashed because he joked about it (remarking that he washed them yesterday). Truly disappointed with dining experience, won't go back agian.

Betta than the chains, but nothing that "wowed" me. We just wanted pizza and since it's in the name, it must be their - as the French would say - le piece de resistance (pardon my French lack of diacritics, or accents above them letters). Whaddaya know? French is the official language in Monaco! Lunch wasn't too busy on the 4th. The host's podium was empty. It took a few minutes 'til a host came and seated us, which was a bit confusing since we didn't know if we should just seat ourselves. Apparently, the host was also our server for our table ...and everyone else's. Service was good, but not as frequent towards the end of the meal. I don't blame him though since he's the only guy doing just about everything. We got an X-Large pizza (the diameter being, the size of my elbow to my fingertips) with fresh (diced) tomatoes, basil, garlic, and artichoke. The toppings were fresh and sparingly, yet proportionately distributed. The 16 slices are narrowly cut so you can't fold them, but every pizza place is different and adds to the uniqueness of their pie. I ate nearly half of it. I know, I'm a monster. They have a full bar with a couple widescreen TVs perfect for happy hour. I really like their vintage Italian posters (Maccheroni!), B.B. King memorabilia (actual tickets!), and black and white photos (owners?) adorning their walls. Their bottles of wine, dark wooden chairs and marbleized tables add to the cool contemporary atmosphere. But if we ordered pizza here and never dined-in in the first place, I still would've rated their pizza exactly the same as I wrote it here. What? This review "wowed" you? le sigh.

Not sure if i'd call it a favorite. But the food is definitely authentic and tasty. The atmosphere is very casual, nightlife type at night. In the day its really calm. I like that. Service is great too, but I would much rather buy a bag of their pizza dough ($5 a bag which makes about two medium pizzas) and just make my own. The pizza dough is just right.
